I had heard a lot about it, and its fame was justified when i visited this ethnic village. The whole village is decorated with real life sounds, light, dance, food, elephants, camels, bullocks. It gives a real feeling of a typical Rajashani village. The dinner the best part of it. One must relish it , its really amazing.

Me and my wife visited Chokhi Dhani at Jaipur this weekend. The experience was amazing. The entire village atmosphere was beautifully depicted with live shows thrown in. There was puppet show , bioscope, magic show and what not. One could do camel ride, bullock cart ride or even a boat ride for less than half a USD. and the icing was the vegetarian rajasthani thali. For me , eating rajasthani fare was a first. The food served was hot, sumptuous and tasty.

The original charm is fading. There are other places with fresh environment. All the same, the charm lingers.

I stayed for one night in chowki dhani resort and the stay was good.
Though I din't find my stay as value for money.
I enjoyed the evening spent in chowki dhani village, lots of activities there including folk dance, magicians, camel ride, elephant ride, horse-cart then bullock cart.
Camel ride was the best, then lots of other things to do.
I would rate village as excellent and a must go place but on the resort my experience was average only.

The entrance fee is high (Rs 450 at my time) however if you have never been to villages then you will surely like this one. There are many attractions inside, and each one is charged separately, though charges are moderate.
Children will surely like this place as they can see magic shows, puppet shows, few rides, mehndi, folk dances etc.
Adults will also witness village life in a different environment. The entrance ticket includes dinner, however those who are familiar with Rajsthani food might not vote it as excellent.
Though it is slightly expensive affair however I would recommend that you should visit once.
