“Great Indian food and a tribute to a bygone era!!!”
Reviewed June 22, 2011

Come to sahib Sindh Sultaan for a unique dining experience. The restaurant is a tribute to the bygone era and everything from the interiors to the culinary experience is reminiscent of a mix of the traditions of Indian royalty and the British Rule.

The restaurant will transport you to the year 1853, when the first Indian train made its run and passed through the punjab and sindh region. the interiors ahve been done to recreate the bygone era feeling, with the tastefully done décor, silk tapestry, and exquisite silver ware.

At the back of the restaurant, there is a Pullman-style carriageway which makes you feel like you’re dining inside an actual train. The food too reflects this rich past and is an interesting mix of the cuisines of several states, including Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab. I particularly love the kachhe goshth ki biryani, There is a chicken dish (forgetting the name) Comes cooked in a flour dough- that is amazing and really something available only here. In starters- "Fish Tikka a lord Rippon" is nice and kakori kebabs are worth a try. In main course, Murg peshawari and Fish Tikka masala are really nice and in breads a must try is Hari mirch ki roti.

“Awesome Restaurant”
Reviewed June 1, 2011

I visited this restaurant and had a great food. The food whether veg or non-veg both were very good. The ambiance was great.

What I like most about this restaurant is its "Service". Every person who works in that restaurant wore a genuine and pleasant smile. Always ready to provide best service in best possible way. Very impressed.

“Great if you need to lose a few pounds”
Reviewed October 29, 2010

Ate here on a business trip. Liked the faux train theme and the fact that your table is inside a train carriage.

Ordered chicken Biryani which came with Raita. Both wife and I were very ill for a number of days after eating here.
