We stayed in horrible hotel nearby, it was so bad that we had to move out after first night. Vinayek gave us lovely, CLEAN room and perfect friendly servise on reasonable price. The food on rooftop was so nice and tasty as well. We stayed one night in better room with tv and ac (no need in november) and second night in cheaper but still great and clean room.
The owner and his dad are very helpful and honest people. We were glad that our last stop on our travels around India left us with nice memory. I would recommend this guesthouse to everybody.

Room Tip: rooms near the library have better wifi signal

Guesthouse was one of the better ones in my stay in my stay in India. Room was big and overall cleanliness was good. Only sour note was I was told rather rudely by the owner that I was minutes away from losing my room reservation and it will be no fault of theirs as I have arrived 6 hours later than my estimated arrival time indicated in my hostelworld booking due to train delay (arrived around 7pm). I feel that they should keep the room and honor the reservation at least for a night before letting out the room. Location is around 1.5-2km away from the city center and around 500m from train station.
TIPS: if you have the option to indicate your arrival time, put it as late as you can if not they will GIVE YOUR ROOM AWAY if you are late and be told NOT THEIR FAULT.

I stayed here in August 2012.

The guesthouse was a lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and up for a game of cricket (during which my friend broke a window...) The location of the guesthouse is a little bit confusing coming in from town, but to the train station it's incredibly close. We paid Rs. 30 for three of us and all our luggage. From town, we usually just gave a rickshaw driver the card for the hotel which had a small map on the back or walk, which I don't recommend in the monsoons whilst wearing flip flops (blisters and the like). To get into town, there's pretty much ALWAYS a rickshaw driver waiting outside. The owner was a great guy too. Always happy to accommodate, even when we arrived at like 3am because our stupid train was delayed. In my experience the other guests were pretty great too, and I'm still in touch with those who I met at dinner.

My room didn't have a TV, but my friends shared a room which did. I instead got the balcony. The bathroom was clean and fine. The bed was quite comfortable too, but it didn't really have a duvet or anything, so I used my mosquito net... During my stay there they were upgrading all the rooms, which I believe should be done by now. They were happy to show us their upgrades and they looked beautiful, with murals on the wall of various places around the beautiful state of Rajasthan.

If I ever go back to Jaipur, which is possible, I'll definitely come back here. It was a comfortable and homely place after one and a half months of travelling.

Room Tip: Avoid the single rooms. They look like prison cells.

I had a great stay at Vinayak Guesthouse for 3 nights in January 2013. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean and the bad was comfortable. Showers are hot. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating and their rooftop restaurant is great and very reasonably priced. The guesthouse is a cheap rickshaw ride or a pleasant walk from the Pink City and very close to the train station - I walked at 6am on my own without a problem.

Vinayak Guesthouse is a really nice, clean and helpful place to stay, Raman and his family are so nice. Don't listen to the rickshaw drivers if they try to take you somewhere else, because Vinayak is awesome, will come back soon! Thank you for all the nice food, advice, and organising a trip to Chowki Dhani. You were all so much fun and happy all the time!

I had a lovely stay at Vinayak for three nights in November. The owner and his family and staff were all friendly and very helpful, helping out with rickshaws and recommending activities, and the food at the rooftop restaurant was delish! The room itself was clean and quite big, with hot water whenever I needed it. A bit out of town but easy enough to get around. Highly recommended!

We booked through hostel bookers and after walking around and getting a bit lost we finally made it. I stayed 6 months ago and can't remember the sons name but he was such a lovely man. He introduced us to a great tuk tuk driver who we used for 2 full days to explore Jaipur. The room was big with good working aircon, the tv didn't work at first but that was fixed, tiny bathroom but that didn't matter much. The home cooked food was amazing. I remember having paneer masala and dosas which were some
of the best tasting dishes I had india and it was cheap too. The hospitality/ food is what I would come back for, some of the nicest people I've met in India.
