“A Royal Home away from Home”

I along with my wife, daughter, son in law and grandson suddenly decided to get away from foggy and cold Delhi to sunny Jaipur. No other place other than Devi Niketan offers the kind of hospitality of prsonal touch and attention. The Admiral has done the place so well that one gets to know the history of Jaipur and the Chomu family through fantastic photographs and mementoes. The food under the able guidance of the first lady is excellent and prepared as per order. The amience is great with a military touch and sitting beside the swimming pool with a drink brought back memories of the immaculate officer's mess.I strongly recommend a stay at the beautiful Haveli when visiting Jaipur. This was just happened when searching online. We chose to stay.Dialed the number and an energetic voice sounded Admiral. Madhvendra Singh. Very warm and nice person. Booked a deluxe room over phone. As requested he has allotted a nice room which was spacious with clean linen and bathroom along with basic amenities.

Pleasing staff who are ready to help always and the Breakfast was awesome.

While i noticed the bill during checkout, he has offered us additional discount in the tariff. Its showed the value and passion than running the business for money. Great quality.

A pleasant haven in hot of the city, which would give access to key points in and around Jaipur.Value for money with comfort and luxury too. Cheers V

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms are spacious and has a big cot.

You will definitely amaze of this place and Admiral Mr Sigh.
He made a very good work at here. Turn to his family house to a heritage hotel. Kept all the memories and decorations so it is an unforgettable place.
All rooms are decorated like old time in India and so large. Bathroom is as big as room. Breakfast is so good. They are serving so real Indian food at dinner as well.
Mr Sigh will give you a lot of good advises around Jaipur. Listen him carefully because he tells the truth.
After Delhi and Agra this place is wonderful. Don't miss it.
They have a back garden. If you want more quite you can ask him. Don't forget to tell them you will be there at dinner otherwise you can miss it.

This clean, friendly private guesthouse, run by the impeccably polite retired Admiral Madhvendra Singh is a little hard to find but worth the hunt. It is on a large block of land with parking and a pool, which we did not use due to the cold weather. The room was spacious, tidy and warm with a firm but comfortable bed. The in-house vegetarian food was delicious and the included breakfast very generous with cereal, fruit, toast, masala cha and a daily hot dish (for us omelette one day and dahl and roti the next). The free wifi is very helpful and overall this place exceeded our expectations for inexpensive accommodation. Downsides? A little road noise from the busy intersection nearby and the morning call to prayer at 6am. Best of all for us the Admiral, who greeted us daily at breakfast, offered helpful suggestions but no pushy selling or hassles - very welcome given the daily assault at all tourist attractions. Highly recommend.

It was a pleasant stay at the Devi Niketan heritage hotel. Hospitality was at its best with the Admiral himself giving you a glimpse of the historical background of the city on your arrival. This place could be counted as a second home in Jaipur with no comromise on your comfort or privacy. I'd strongly recommend this place to everybody.

I along with my wife and two teenage boys were on a surprise year-end vacation trip in Jaipur and stayed at Devi Niketan. A family owned heritage hotel which is clean, comfortable, and ensures the warmth of hospitality all around from booking to checkout. Admiral's personal touch in your stay makes you as comfortable as his own family member. He even guided us as to how and what to visit when, so as to make the best of our short vacation. Very comfortable and cozy place for any family with small children. An extremely memorable trip!

We were 4 of us, husband wife & 2 grown up girls....Looking out for a nice place to stay in Jaipur at the peak of the Holiday season (between Xmas & New Year), seemed a formidable challenge.
At the outset, we were pleasantly surprised to find the Admiral himself replying to emails to the Hotel. He guided us to choose the family suite in the non-heritage wing, which consisted of 2 interconnected rooms with an ante room to boot !
This Hotel gives you a feeling that you have traveled back to your ancestral home, with the Admiral doting over you, like a grand uncle. He has a very friendly staff to look after your every need. They can help you out with booking your local taxi at very reasonable rates to explore Jaipur and its neighborhood.
Devi Niketan has a spacious Lawn on the front and a clean swimming pool in its backyard. The Hotel is very near to the popular Panch Batti junction, which is easily accessible by auto or cycle rickshaw. There are some iconic eating places in and around Panch Batti.
All in all, we had a great time at Jaipur and after a tiring day roaming the Forts and Palaces, it always seemed like home when we headed back to Devi Niketan...for all the 3 nights we stayed there.
The Admiral's place is a safe anchorage for tourists at Jaipur !

Room Tip: If you are more than 3, choose the Family suite in the non heritage wing. You enjoy a comfortable st...
