Krishna Palace, it's really the best place i have stayed till now, we arrived in the night time and the owner picked us up from the train station and was very kind and helpful, the hotel is built in a grand haveli style with long corridors the rooms are also built in traditional style with high ceilings an paintings on it .They also have a roof top restaurant with excellent views and tasty food at affordable price.

This Hostel was a pleasant surprise and we stayed there for 3 nights. The owner is a very kind and available person as his son who will help you out in anything you need. A family house, great garden, very comfortable rooms, very good food in a quiet and beautiful roof top.

We arrived here after going around in circles as no one knows this place and it is in the middle of a residential area, far from the city center. The reception is set up in the varandah. They charge for the internet. We got a room on the ground floor and it was dirty with spots on the walls and the attached bath room had a sink, next to a tap with a bucket for taking a bath and a western toilet next to a Indian toilet (a hole in the ground for squating), all together. In the morning, we went up to the so called breakfast room on the roof and opened the kitchen door to call the waiter as there was no one outside. The filth inside the kitchen was enough to make you sick. It was one of the dirtiest we have seen in India. So we walked away not wanting to fall sick. But out side being a residential area, there is nothing around where one can go to eat. We stayed here for just one night and checked out to go stay at a better place near MI Road. Do not understand how this place is getting so many nice reviews because it was based on them that we went there but were dissapointed.

Although the Krishna palace looks pretty neat, beware the rooms are average, service poor, and terrible terrible food. We had been in India for 2 weeks, having at least 3 meals a day and eating at numerous restaurants in Goa, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The only time both me and my partner were incredibly ill was following the meal we had at the Krishna hotel. We hadn’t planned to eat there but the vegetarian menu and roof top terrace were a tempting after a long couple of days travelling... BIG MISTAKE the food was very very BAD! And served by a group of young lads with absolutely no idea about cuisine, when we complained they best they could do is smile pathetically. By all means stay in the Hotel as it's not bad, but don't eat there, I was in agony for the remaining 2 days travelling fortunately I had bought some great tablets from a chemist in Goa so got through!.

We Booked this hotel after reading all the great reviews on trip advisor. When we arrived there the staff were really helpful and they had our room ready. Check in was quick. The room was clean, the ac worked well all the time, the shower was next to the sink, but the water pressure was really good and it was hot.
The owner organiced a party for his birthday and gave food for all of us, wich was fun and we enjoyed. The service is really good.
The only thing they should improve is their restaurant, is just normal food, and sometimes boring. Anyways you can go and eat to the city :) The neigborhood is quite so you can really relax in this hotel. Its a excellent value for what you pay !

We stayed here after spending time at various expensive hotels in India and found it a refreshing change. The staff were all very helpful, as was the owner who greeted us on arrival and showed us a selection of rooms to choose from.
Our room was large with a double bed, desk, small tv (only 1 channel but since it was HBO we were happy), wardrobe, fan & ac. The bathroom was basic but clean, with a wet room style shower.
Some loo roll was provided, but we were glad to have brought some with us anyway! One warning - only 1 small towel provided each which took some getting used to.
Wifi was cheapest of all places we stayed in big hotels, but sometimes fell over due to too many users.
Food was fine but we didn't think it was anything special and it took some time between ordering and eating (although they do warn you on the menu).

We had washing done which was handy. And they did a great job of picking us up from the train station (even finding us when we took the wrong exit). We were also able to change money and use the computer for printing.
