Friendly staff, good quiet location near to downtown -- a good option for budget or mid-range accommodation. Hotel owner and staff went out of their way to assist us -- even offering us a lift downtown once, plus immediately implementing our suggestion about adding more Indian food options for breakfast. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Room Tip: The King bedroom has a nice little balcony and plenty of windows. Even a TV which we weren't exp...

This is one of the best hotel that one could get to stay in Jaipur with minimal budget. Service was awesome and people were very helpful and friendly, rooms were spacious and maintained very clean. Hotel is also situated close to bus stop and shopping area with all amenities.Though breakfast did not have much of a variety, things that was served was pretty good.I throughly enjoyed the stay and would recommend this place to all.

Central location.
We didnt have our lunch / dinner at the hotel restaurant. However the breakfast was not bad at all..
Room was small but clean. Clean bathrooms.
Service was good and prompt.
The room had no view / no window.
But since we spent most of our day outside, we didnt have any complaints.

We were staying two nights in India while doing a one week trip up there in North India. We were given this hotel as part of a pre booked tour and we found it the best place to stay. Very very clean good maintained buidling - hen we checked in the friendly staff at the reception gave many helpful hints about trips around, safety and activities. We felt very safe as they had a video system and you could see the monitors.
When we were guided to our room, I cannot remember the name anymore, we were very positively surprised. A pleasing interior design, comfortable bed (for people who like to have hard matraces) and a spacious bathroom. Thouhg the windows were facing the streets, it was not noisy at all as the hotel is placed in a small street.
The breakfast which we had ncluded in our package was a mixture of american and Indian breakfast: Cereals, Toast, Bananas, Some Indian specialities and pancakes.
At night two local people presented a little puppet show in the garden of the hotel - we loved it.
We were also asked to place a review at Tripadvisor when we left and as we were fully satisfied I can only encourage people to stay here. I cannot find anything to complain.

We stayed at Laxmi Palace for 1 night in the month of December and this place exceeded all our expectations. The heritage haveli converted into a hotel is extremely well maintained with comfortable and spacious rooms. The hotel is located very close to the bus stand in a peaceful and nice locality. The hotel has a very ethnic and royal feel to it with an extremely courteous staff. They quickly arranged a taxi for us for sight seeing purpose and even provided a complimentary room while we were waiting at the reception for our night train to Udaipur. The menu at the hotel has a wide range of choices with the quality of food being really good. The hotel also organizes puppet shows in the evening for a nice rajasthani traditional experience. I would definitely stay here again during my next visit for the value for money this hotel provides.

Room Tip: Royal rooms are a good try if you are travelling with a larger family and are very comfortable.

Laxmi Palace is a Heritage Home conveniently located about 3 KM away from the Jaipur Station. It was a pleasant stay with a lot of cherished memories. We were three including my wife and my 2 year old son and we had booked the Royal Room. The room was very spacious, well lighted, clean and more importantly the bath rooms were dry and very neat. The bed gave the real feel of Royal elegance and comfort, with the looks of the typical antique furniture. The walls and all the artifacts in the room were very well maintained. The staff was very well-behaved, friendly and helpful which made the stay even more pleasant.

Among the short-comings of the accommodation are:

>It does not have a proper restaurant and the food had to be ordered about 20 to 30 minutes in advance.

>The Wi-Fi internet connectivity from the room was very poor and hardly had any strength.

> The property does not have a lift and it is difficult if one has booked a room in the 2nd or 3rd floor.

> In dotted lines “Please don’t trust the Hotel drivers”. It cost us a fortune and we landed in a position where we were trapped to visit a shop (Bharatiya Murti Kala Kendra- Amer Road- near the view point of Jal Mahal) which had secrete arrangements with the hotel driver. He made us believe that the shop was a Government owned/Co-operative and the prices of the articles were most genuine and cheaper than any other shop in Jaipur. They would convince you that since it was a government shop the prices are fixed but reasonably priced, although the quality was the best. We bought stuff for almost Rs.7, 500, and latter when we checked the prices of the stuff in the local markets we realised that we have been cheated and could have purchased the stuff almost for 1/3 of the price. This is an eye opener for tourists.

> No play area for children.

> No tea/coffee maker in rooms.

Room Tip: One may go for suites based on the ground floors. The Royal rooms were good but suites seemed even b...
