This was a last minute booking due to a change in our plans. The staff were friendly, we had a nice welcome when we arrived and were pleasantly surprised and grateful to be upgraded to the Maharaja suite, which was a massive living space with very comfortable bed, sofas, desk and excellent facilities. The Hotel is an old Havelli built in 1945 as a family home and converted to a hotel in the 1980's, a bit tired but retaining it's original charm. There is a lovely pool in the garden area, which is wonderful after a day exploring Jaipur. It seems a shame that the pool area and garden are not better maintained as this could be made into a wonderful area to relax. We only stayed one night and ate at the Hotel, it was explained to us that the food is cooked fresh to order so would take 45 minutes to prepare which would have been fine if it hadn't actually taken 90 minutes, the rice was cold and one of the dishes was heavily over salted and generally the meal was not to the high standard we had been led to believe it would be.
Overall this was a good place to stay we just can't recommend the food due to our experience.

Room Tip: Staying in the Maharaja Suite is a real experience.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in October and had a very enjoyable stay. The owner and his wife were so pleasant and helpful. We were upgraded to the Maharaja suite which was very palatial and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and we had a room service meal one of the nights which was fine. We were able to relax and enjoyed a wander around the neighbourhood during some spare time.

Property is excellent,mr vijay who is owner , was very helping in guiding us.we had a complimentary upgrade to gulab suite just separate from main building. Most importantly dinner is always freshly cooked and hospitality is awesome. Only thing is due to metro work, if u approach thro' railway station , you will be disappointed as the way is very crowded and dusty. But once inside you will forget everything especially reception and sitting room are really heritage. Definitely very much value for money.

This place has some cute character but is lacking in most areas. The room was nice but the a/c was so loud it made it hard to rest. Breakfast was poor & the dining room is in need of having the table cloths & napkins washed. Didn't really feel comfortable as a woman in the hotel so stayed clear of the pool. Not sure how it can be rated 4 1/2 stars when it's struggling to pull through on many simple details. Was not impressed by the boy sweeping the steps who demanded money when we left our room. Not really a place I would choose to stay again.

Quiet heaven in a busy town. When we entered the place we thought ok, it is the known indian standard. However much to our surprise the room was far better. We had the Maharaja suite and we felt like this. Well maintained, spacious with a huge bathroom. And a kingsize bed that you normally find in 5-star locations only.
