My partner and I stayed at Jaipur Friendly Villa for two nights and absolutely loved it. The house was peaceful, airy and spotless and our room was extremely comfortable and well-decorated, with a big bathroom and plenty of hot water (Shveta would turn the boiler on while we were out so that the water was hot for an evening shower to get rid of the Jaipur dust!). Sheveta and her husband were extremely hospitable and kind: a friend who was in Jaipur at the same time couldn't get in touch with me so phoned the guest house and Shveta relayed messages back and forth. Unfortunately we didn't have the chance to join them for dinner but the breakfasts were wonderful, particularly Shveta's home made jam. While the guest house is a little way out of the centre, this was not a problem for us at all - rickshaws into the centre cost very little and we were provided with a business card with a map on the back to help with directions. All in all a lovely stay.

When you read these glowing reviews, you start to think that this must be too good to be true. BUT IT IS! Shveta and Kul really provide an incredible homestay/B&B experience. The house was lovely with spacious, tastefully decorated rooms and large bathrooms with all modern amenities (including a jacuzzi that we did not have time to enjoy). Shveta and Kul's love of nature came through in their beautiful garden, which was in full bloom during our visit. The breakfast was a delight with homemade guava jam, varieties of juices, and something special that Shveta put together every morning. And, beyond all this was the personal attention that Shevta and Kul provided - in helping plan our daily outings, recommending places to eat and shops for specific items. They paid special attention to the needs of our children who are allergic to many foods. One evening, Kul even drove his car to guide us to a restaurant in the neighborhood, and made sure that the owners took good care of us.

Shevta and Kul make you feel like a guest of the family - not just a paying customer. It is obvious that they actually enjoy having you in their home. It is this attitude that makes Jaipur Friendly Villa so exceptional - even when compared to our experiences with top-ranked B&Bs in Europe, Canada and USA.

We certainly know where to stay during our next visit to Jaipur.

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a bigger backpacking trip round India. You can't fault the accommodation at all. It's a big comfy house and the rooms are lovely with probably the best shower I had in all of India. Sveta and Kul are lovely and having dinner and getting to see one side of Indian life was a great experience. Sveta is an amazing cook as all have said. Lucky I only stayed 2 days as I would have got fat if I had stayed too long!

My only reservation is that it's 15 mins from Jaipur, though they will organise you rickshaws or taxis, and that it's pretty expensive, well, compared to everywhere else I stayed in India outside of Mumbai. I booked this from the UK and actually for the rest of my travels was happiest in cheaper guesthouses where you can meet other travellers more easily and be more in the thick of things. However this was a nice experience as a one off as you really feel you are experiencing upper middle class Indian family life.

I only can repeat all the other statements about this place! on our trip through India we spent three weeks at 10 different places and this is the only one with a 5-star rating for us!
Shveta and Kul are very caring hosts and we learned a lot about India while talking with them, so great!

Everything about this place is just excellent. only maybe the location is in terms of "close to the city and sights" not perfect. but on the other hand this means that it is quiet there and you very much can relax from a busy day of sightseeing.

Another big plus is the heating we had in our room! February turned out to be so cold at nights in India that we really needed that heating. the friendly villa was the first place where we didn't feel cold at night.

dear Shveta and Kul, thanx again for the great time we had at your place!
