Have been a regular to the restaurant and it has maintained its quaity of food and specially the seafood offerings that I keep going back for : lobster thermidor; Crispy Bombi and Stuffed Papad Crabs. The owners - chef Deepa Awchat and her debonair and socialite husband Suhas are daily meeting guests and maintain excellent PR. They have recently opened a branch at Andheri that is now managed by their son who has also plunged into the lucrative family business. Best of Luck

2-3 different kinds of restaurants in the same premises. Goan food is okay - not as good as in Goa. Very spicy! The ambience is nothing to write home about at all

Goa portuguesa is a great place when it comes to Ambiance and the Owner hounds you as well - :-) at times it feels good though. But the food is quite over rated and way over priced... there are other smaller and way cheaper joints around Mumbai for great Goan food (Minus the Ambiance)

You get Goan food and you get South-indian food. Some of the delicacies can be found only in authentic south-indian or goan places but this place in Bombay is as authentic as it can get. Great food.

A very nice place to have great food.I prefer fish and have tried the different options.they are really mouth-watering and we really enjoyed. The sutffed pomfret and crispy fried prawns in starters is recommended. And the main course dishes prepared in coconut are really tasty.Yet to try the chicken and mutton dishes!! And be pleasantly surprised with a warm greeting and a pat from Dr.Awchat himself !!
