Never knew they were almost a century old.

Handed down from one generation to another.

The food, well, this is very subjective. But to me, it is great. Their Berry Pulao, hmm... nice.

Sharing table with someone and that person told me, "You should try their Bombay Duck." Okay, ordered, and that person told me, it's a fish... Aha!

As I love fish, it is fine with me.

After finished eating the food I ordered, I have to release 1 notch of my belt! :P

What impresses me is this restaurant is located in an old building, built solid. The surroundings were well, colonial?

And of course, the most impressive is the charming old Uncle.

I think its a nice place, overall.. a bit influenced by Iranian food (more than Parsi), neverthless nice and worth a vsit. But i think its over hyped and (slightly) over priced. The berry pulao is too sweet for my taste. I would recommend sticking to standard parsi fare like salli boti, dhansak.

A quaint little remnant of the British Era, this is a place for nostalgia. The Most famous offering - the Berry Pulao & Chicken Cutlet is indeed lipsmacking but the other stuff like Salli Boti, Patra ni Macchi are OK. Almost no option for a vegetarian, so please don't take a vegetarian friend along. The Old Uncle will delight you with his stories and before you know you'll be sipping on the Fresh Lime to "Beat the Mumbai heat". Also the place is shut on all Sundays and Bank Holidays and also for dinner.

old charm of Mumbai i guess...run by a Parsi family...the food is served by the elderly family members....the 'uncles' sense of humor is worth a laugh and the food is typical Iranian food...nothing really 'omg' types but a little different...you should try it once.....but this place has long queues esp on saturdays as its closed on sundays....it closes after lunch so make sure you have your alarm on, on a sat to get yourself there!!

Weekend lunch turned to a disaster! This is one of the worst eating out experience we have had in a long time. The reasons are :
1). Unhygienic, Dirty, Crumbling, Broken interiors.
2). Famous berry Pulav is the most pathetic Pulav with just uncooked chicken gravy with a layer of rice, topped with fried onions and some berries served by a very unclean, unwashed cook from the kitchen
3). Sail kheema had a Foul smell. The kheema was not washed before cooking. We had to return the dish after 1 morsel as it was difficult to swallow the morsel itself.
4). Michelin STAR restaurant pricing for all the above.

Now u decide whether this restaurant should remain in service or SHUT SHOP and save a lot of first timers agony who visit due to past glories and SUPER HYPED ratings.
