We went for lunch on Friday afternoon around 1.30. The place was buzzing with the office workers from the business district around the place-- getting ready for the weekend. We had to wait for around 10 minutes to find a placed. It is a airy place with a old world charm-- peeled walls, no air conditioning and fans whirring from the ceiling. The owners have a genial look around them, the older one personally taking orders from some tables and then passing it to the wait staff.
We ordered the famed Berry Chicken pulao and Sali chicken with bread. The pulao seemed to have a different taste thanks to those imported berries from Iran. The bread was a bit stale but the Sali Chicken tasted awesome. We had the Rasberry drink which isn't available elsewhere-- it tastes a bit like strawberry flavored Rex Jelly which we used to have as kids made into a juice :) -- it was very good must say.
Finally polished the visit with the to-die-for-caramel-custard'.
The visit was worth the effort--- last time I had visited was in 1995. The place hasn't changed at all which is heartening.
