For the informed readers/foodies I've got 2 words for you.

" NON- EXCEPTIONAL HINDU HOTEL".

Those who fall in the above category needn't read any further.

For the others Sri Sri 108 Sri Baba Gardev Maharaj is ever present.

The "Hindu hotel"is the UDIPIS underprivileged, underdeveloped lesser skilled younger brother.

You get the same stuff that defines UDIPIS but minus the PITZA, pav bhaji, Nachos etc. and AC.

In return you get food at half the price and service that's so quick and efficient THAT IT MAKES MODERN QSRs look like snails.

The Hindu Hotel is no doubt the original QSR but the modern ones could definitely learn a thing or two from them.

Some have the advantage of certain dishes tasting better than normal/GENERIC (like Gurunath which once stood where dakshinayaan now is had a great Usal Pav) or doing things just slightly better in a good location (a few in fort).

Saraswati Hindu Hotel isn't one of them.

Its the LAST surviving Hindu Hotel in the Walkeshwar area and how long it will survive is any ones guess.

The only reason why any person would find themselves (parcelling with help of the always smiling staff ) here would be if one lived in the immediate vicinity(or has a scooter and lives a 2 minutes ride away) and is craving for EVEN ORDINARY USAL / MISAL (make sure Chivda is packed separate) with the ultra soft pavs and maybe Vada or some Daal Khichdi.

PS I've tried everything here but unless your on a strict budget or about to die of hunger your much better off packing Punjabi or Chinese from TRUSHA or South Indian from Dakshinaiyaan or "BYAAJ KAAT KE " dosa wala at Chandralok .
