This is an excellent buffet restaurant situated in the ITC Grand Central Hotel at Lower Parel. The Indian food selection is good and the food it very tasty. The restaurant offers buffet breakfast which is the best in town, The buffet lunch and dinner are both sumptuous, a wide range of wines and hard alcohol is available. In fact the Sunday Brunch includes sparkling wine which gives a very relaxed feel to the experience as you have lots of time to sit around, eat and drink taking all the time you need. The service is good. In the event you choose to order from the menu, go right ahead and order the Sunday Roast of Chicken or the Railway Lamb Curry or the Lalmass.

Though the spread at the Hornby Pavilion was decent, the seating and the rush of guests made it look like a sunday brunch rather than the evening fine dine that we envisaged. The staff was courteous, but served stale peanits and soggy papads with drinks. Not expected from an ITC. After complaining we got a premium variety, which i suspect was not fresh either.

The food spread was mixed, as if to prove that all dishes on earth can be displayed at a single go. The range was from kashmiri pulaos to arabian desserts to typical punjabi sabzis and the south indian curd rice. One would leave confused as to what was ITC trying to do here?

Would not recommend for the price, in terms of value for money. there was no special or oomph factor after eating here that makes me want to go again.

Visited Hornby's pavilion at ITC Grand Central on 29th April 2013 for Lunch. The buffet menu continues to be same all the time. I have been there 10 times in the last 15 months, and no change is observed. on 29th, my kids also complained and ordered A'la Carte. We like the property and so try to frequent there both for family and business. The meats are done poorly, we can't exactly say, what palette they are catering to. Even the popular aappams have deteriorated. The garlic nan was so poor that i had to leave it almost untouched ( honestly, the neighbourhood shetty hotels do it better). The service quality is stretched, whenever there is a large group being served on another table. Why would I go there, if this is the quality of service. I get the same service in any A/c restaurant for much less prices. Avoidable for both weekday buffet and sunday brunch. Better go to a standalone restaurant.

Visited this place yesterday for the dinner buffet. The variety is decent but no particular dish is made to perfection. All are lacking in something or the other. All the prawns served in 2-3 dishes were stale, which was bought to the notice of the hotel staff. Their black dal though was excellent as always.

The deserts were good, nothing extraordinary or different. Overall not very happy with the spread and will think twice before visiting this place again. There are other restaurants in this hotel like Shanghai Club (Chinese) & Kebabs & Kurries which are excellent.

Hornby's Pavillion is the coffee shop at the ITC Grand Central and having visited it a few times my personal experience is that they food is better if you chose A' la Carte rather than their buffets. The have some dishes which are available for 24 hours while some are only till midnight. The Breakfast buffet is best among the afternoon and evening buffet. One thing I have noticed about the buffet is that most of the dishes are the same, even when they have a speciality buffet. A change in menu could really help. The A' la carte has a good selection of desserts and ice creams and they are worth a try. The sandwiches & Burgers are pretty good too.

The Positives:
The stuff available 24 hours is pretty good and the portion size is good
The ice creams are very good
Service is polite and courteous

The Negatives:
The Buffet needs serious improvement
The decor and ambience has gotten a little old and can be refurbished
