“Sometimes Good sometimes OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

Gone there many times mostly food is good tasty and it has large portion because of which the restaurant is working til now. Many a times if food not good waiters don't care which spoils the whole experience itself .

“Regular hangout - good portions & awesome deserts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

For my Chinese food fix and my desert cravings - i love 5 spice.
The food has been tasty from the beginning - sadly i've seen an inverse change in their menu - reduction in portions [Soups, starters & main course] and increase in prices!
Their food has become oilier and it does not suit my taste!
These are my favorites in 5 spice:
Tom Yum Soup [a spicy, clear soup!]
Burnt Garlic rice
Chicken in oyster sauce
the star of my dinner is the 'Death by Chocolate!' it's to DIE for and i always have two portions and lick my plate in the end!! yummmmmmmmm :)

“One of the best VFM restaurants for Oriental food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

5 Spice located at the busy Pali Naka is probably one of the best VFM (Value For Money) joints in the city.

The ambiance is soothing, the food portions phenomenal and the service is quick and hasslefree. Do remember to make your reservations on weekends as I have personally waited for 45 mins for a table for 2 on weekends.

Authentic Chinese food is a rarity when it comes to VFM restaurants, however, 5 Spice does try and live upto its expectations. A regular customer here, I have never been disappointed with the portion size, taste or presentation of the food. They have a dedicated dessert bar at the 0 level. Their cheesecakes are a must have. They also do whip up an excellent, Honey Noodles with Ice Cream (my poison); one of the very few places to get a really scrumptious portion of that. All said, the menu is exhaustive with both the vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes well thought off.

The flavors are authentic, the food does not come in its own tub of oil and overall, I will give it a 4/5 for its food

Alcohol is a reasonably priced and a fulfilling meal for 2 will set you back between 1500 and 2000 depending on the dishes called for.

Overall, a must visit place in Bandra West for some delectable oriental cuisine.
