“Nice Hotel but not on a Four Seasons like others”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

We stayed here for a few days during Xmas break. We like the place but im general we would go again to other hotels in mumbai. Location is nice for doing business but that's it. Breakfast was okay but not as other 5 star properties in Mumbai. Pool is very small. The restaurants are nice and good. Best part is the roof-top bar. Unless you have your high-floor rooms, than the music beat is very disturbing... This was once time experience!

I love this hotel. Rooms are clean and large. Bathroom has L'occitane ammenities of decent size. I would almost come here just for those :). I always ask for a room not facing the ocean view, since it is much quiter. The ocean view rooms are nice to have the view, but the continual tooting of car horns bothers me, so I prefer the back side, which is great, since I basically hear no noise during the night. But with that said there is a mosque nearby, and you do hear the call around 6:15am ish. But luckily the guy doing it has a good voice, and it does not go long at all.
From here takes about 30 mins to the airport, since you can use the sea link road, and getting down to the gateway of india is about 30 mins depending on traffic. All up for me is a great location in Worli, and there is a shopping centre around the corner (though not easy to walk to)

Room Tip: Quieter rooms are those not with a sea view, but you do hear the morning call from the mosque around...

The surprising bit about this hotel is how compact it is, a tall single building, doesn't have the extensive grounds I would expect of a luxury high end hotel - and I've been in several in India. The hotel somehow feels sterile - contemporary and only barely so, nothing in the interior shouts luxury, more like a very comfortable service apartment. My room is in the corner and surprisingly compact (small), with just enough space to walk around the bed and between the work table. Almost Hong Kong room standards already. There wasn't a stand to place my luggage because there wasn't enough space, so i had to layout my luggage on the floor. Rather annoying considering i am in a supposed 5-star hotel. Lobby area is small, breakfast area is also small...it's just takes me by surprise, having been in a number of Four Seasons hotel in other parts of Asia that are more spacious, and certainly a more luxurious feel. Breakfast is very limited - either continental or order something from the menu which prices are very expensive. by the 2nd day it got boring already.

Service is very mixed - stayed there for 3 days and twice the hotel car details got mixed up, first day the desk claimed they didn't have any reservations for a car to the office, and then later during the pick up from office, the driver went to the wrong address causing a 1 hour delay. Altogether, it's quite nice but I wouldn't rave about it.

Rooms are nicely furnished and of good size. Staff are helpful. Breakfast is just ok. Location is in the middle of the city, so if you need to have meetings both in downtown and in suburbs this is the best place to stay. Prepare to wake up at 06:00am to the sounds of the near by mosque which is a big irritation.

I had high expectations of this hotel because it is part of a luxury chain, and it didn't disappoint. The rooms were big and the bathrooms huge! You had to pay extra for wifi, which is always annoying whe you're travelling on business and relying on it, but fairly standard. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond - in particular there was a receptionist called Valencia who twice gave us restaurant recommendations, both of which were excellent, and advised us on practicalities such as travelling during rush hour.
The facilities were excellent - I would recommend visiting the onsite restaurant, San-Qi, where the food was fabulous. The views from the rooftop bar at night are stunning and it's very pleasant sitting up there after dark (the temperature was around 40 degrees during the day, so this was a relief!) The rooftop pool was nice but smaller than it looked in the photos and not especially beautiful.
Location-wise it was a short taxi ride to major sites such as the Prince of Wales Museum, the beautiful Victoria Terminus and Gateway to India. The view from the window of my luxurious room was of a slum, which was a little sobering, so be prepared if you are not used to this. The area around the hotel felt safe and there were some nice restaurants within walking distance. Mumbai's a huge city and there are hotelsthat are closer to the sites and with views of the beaches if that's what you prefer. However, the quality of service and rooms made staying here a good choice.

From the moment the courteous young man picked us up at the airport to check out the stay was fabulous - 7 nights
The San -Qi restaurant - SUPERB! We ate here three times. It features Indian, Japanese and Chinese cusine. We sampled all and it was incredible and beautifully presented.

The Cafe Prado - we loved the Butternut squash and pumpkin tortelini over spinach for lunch one day! Teh breakfast service is slow but everything is wonderful.

Ths Spa - I loved the ladies Steam roon and jacuzzi. It is well staffed and offers all the amenities one needs. I schedule a massage and it was fabulous. I also utilized the hair salon and I they did a wonderful wash and blow dry for a wedding we were attending.

The room - we were on a high floor with sea view. Beds - extremely comfortable. Bath tub is big and wonderful. The tub was next to the window which was fun! Great products. The closet was very large and we had lots of clothes to hang up since we attended a wedding with many events.

The service - Everyone was courteous, helpful and cheerful. The concierge scheduled a 4 hour tour for us with a lady guide who was showed us Mumbai in an efficient manner we very much enjoyed. She tailored it to what we wanted to see. The whole staff was great.

The only downside is there really is nothing nearby to wallk to. Taxis are cheap though!

Room Tip: Do not stay on the floor beneath the Sky bar - On a weekend it kept us up until after 3am - we chang...

Stayed at the Four Seasons as a base for visiting Mumbai.
Excellent all round especially the San-Qi restaurant however it is unsurprisingly expensive. It is a five start hotel after all I guess!
Pool Deck a little unkept in that I didnt sense it was as clean as it could be and netting to keep out the birds was ineffective.

Room Tip: Room 2908 Corner Room. Seemed very spacious although others may be like that!
