We went to Imbiss expecting a bigger, fancier restaurant. The restaurant is very small, 4 small tables with just a stool on one side, and a couple of tables on the loft.
The food however is good. Mainly pork based menu. We tried a Caesar's salad (not too good), Grilled Bratwurst (decent), Duck Sausage with slaw and mustard (very nice), and Smoked Pork with fat and rind (good). Most of the dishes were served with a brown gravy which was quite nice.
The menu had Pickled Quail eggs and a Fried Duck egg, neither was available today, it would have made a good side order with the Duck sausage.
Their Danish pork chop with mushroom sauce is supposed to be very nice, maybe I'll try it next time. Other interesting dishes on the menu were Roast beef, Pork crackling with hot sauce, rack of pork spare ribs, Hungarian goulash and a few more.
I was surprised they had no dessert on the menu, nothing at all.... They could do with at least a Caramel custard or something.
A cold beer would also be good, but they don't serve any. They serve non alcoholic beer but that always tastes terrible.
If they had a bigger place, and did it up better, it has the potential to go a long way.
