“Wow! Loved this Beach”
Review of Aksa Beach

Aksa Beach
Reviewed February 16, 2014

Visited this beach on weekend (sat to be specific). Loved this place. what a great view and so calm and serene. Its surely an exception from the other beaches where we found more crowd than the waters!!!! Walking on the sand was such a tranquil experience. Not too crowded yet not so lonely. people come to chill and enjoy quality time with family. There are some food stalls here not as many like juhu or girgaum. So. you can enjoy the beach by itself which is much cleaner than others.

The location is easily accessible by autos. We went from Andheri to Malad by local & then easily got an auto just outside the station direct to the beach. Also noticed that there buses plying to aksa chowpatty.

An advice : if you need an auto for return don't ask the ones who are standing in the front, they may ask for any amount. Instead walk to the road or hire one who just arrived with passengers. They will give a fare deal and would go by meter.(we did so)

In a nutshell you need to go to a beach with clean sands, open waters and away from the bustle of city. This is the place to be.

Aksa beach is an exception amongst Mumbai beaches and that's why 5 star rating. It is so clean and less crowded that you can't imagine it to be part of Mumbai! It's not recommend to swim here but you can have a great time with family and kids. You will find young ppl playing cricket on the sand and families enjoying the sunset. While returning, you can have some yummy sandwiches and coconut water. Public access to the beach is barred in the night due to safety concerns. Overall, a great family outing with the nature in the city.

We are relatively new to Mumbai and still trying to find places to visit on weekends. None of my local friends suggested to consider Aksa beach for a visit. But when we finally visited y'day early morning ..we were impressed. It's best beach in Mumbai. You get quite a long stretch to walk, jog or run. And surprisingly it's very clean. Little more blessings from municipal department and this could easily turn into top 10 places to see in Mumbai.
