If you want quality cheap stuff crawford market is the place. I go to buy hookah and flavours and some times mixers for parties like red bull etc....this place sells at the mrp rate or below for most items. If you need to buy in bulk , this is the right place for food items, milan, rajnigandha, hookah, clothes to some extent and of course there is the famous peekay wines next to it which is one of the best wine shops in the city. Crawford is closest to cst

Crawford market is of course out of the ordinary market and it’s a very fascinating place of buying household items for the local citizens as well as tourists. This market is situated in south Mumbai, at the north of the CST railway station and just 300 meters far from the railway station. The market starts opening at about 9:00 am and continues till 9:00 pm (approx.) on every day except on Sunday it is open in the morning shift. The market main building is easily recognizable from far outside by looking its clock tower. One can easily understand that it’s a very old market looking at the building-structure of the market. In the main building of Crawford market you will get mainly food items like vegetables, fruits, chocolates, cheese, chicken & mutton , bakery products etc. but in the surrounding shops and shops in the nearby lanes, footpath stalls or pushing carts, you will find many different household items of attraction in very reasonable rate. But if you start bargaining little bit, you may get your favorite item in quite cheaper rate. I just love buying goods in this area. I would suggest, if you visit Mumbai, you must visit this place of shoppers’ paradise for food & household items.

Nearby places of tourist attraction:
1. Gateway of India (towards south of Crawford market)
2. Mumba-devi Temple (towards north of Crawford market)

The moment you enter this market, you will find clothes all around you with price ranging from Rs 50 to 2000 metre with different color and quality. You become bound to purchase. the shopkeepers there I met very very reasonable. Not only clothes but you will find toys, shoes, electronics and lot of other stuff. In all very good place to visit.

A great market for spices and herbs and teas. No harm in having a look around. Lots of different fruits available too. Don't forget to press them to lower the price especially if you look foreign :)

Not much of a tourist attraction. Actually, tourists shouldn't even come here at all. It's really a market for locals where they can bargain for cheap for almost ANYTHING. It is super crowded and noisy with non stop honking from automobiles that are trying to get through which I am not sure why they would even bother to get through because there are people everywhere. If you are in the area and want some culture go ahead and dive in and get lost in the crowd, keep your belongings safe, and try to remember how to get out.
