This is an upscale residential area where business tycoons and film personalities live. Malabar Hill, is stuated at a height of 50 metres and is the highest point in South Mumbai. Apart from being upmarket and you will note that there is an increased police presence, you will find green areas such as the Hanging Gardens.

Malabar Hills, the name itself evokes images of swanky cars, extended living rooms, endless lines of domestics and silver cutlery lying around unattended....!
However with the new lustre laden neighborhoods of Bandra, Juhu and Ville Parle, Malabar Hills has lost lot of its exclusiveness....
The Billionaires and the Bollywood luminaries have now shifted base and more ordinary mortals have moved in.
All in all, MH is still the most exclusive location in Town, but probably not for only the most privileged....

I is a decent spread for a garden, especially for Mumbai. But then all the trouble travelling so much just for a garden?? And the views are nothing that great. And plz do not even think of driving there, since parking is a trouble (well nothing new for a Mumbaikar!)

Be sure to visit Mumba devi temple and Banganga. Walk down Mount Pleasant Road, Carmichael Road and Litte Gibbs Road to see how the rich and successful live. You'll be surprized by the mix of old and new buildings, limousines and decrepit taxis, super luxe hotels and shanty roads- Mumbai is a real contrast.
