Description: Grillopolis is an ode to the earliest art of cooking known to man. The art of grilling. Open flamed. And open hearted. The art of grilling has always been the art of sharing too. Where friends and communities come together to partake in choicest cuts, potent rubs and secret sauces. Where the sound of laughter and the smell of smoke comes together to create a moment of togetherness like none other. Over flutes of wine and spirited music. A tradition, perfected on the coasts of Mediterranean and taken to the world by seafaring Spaniards. Where you can enjoy grilled food like it’s meant to be. Robust. Earthy. Delightful. Grillopolis is a celebration of the Mediterranean grilling experience. Beckoning you through a belfry, into a sunlit piazza, to dine under a giant olive tree…The Zaytoon. Transporting you in time and space to a world 6000 kms away. And while you are there, reach for the bell and announce your arrival. Welcome to Grillopolis. Welcome to the city of grills.

We went for a buffet food. Absolutely empty for lunch.. but may be that's how it is on a weekday.

A little confusion around pricing of buffet by the staff...

we found it to be a little expensive buffet as compared to the spread and similar buffets available in Mumbai..

Good for non-vegetarians as veg dishes are limited.

Good ambiance

We were here for a Christmas Brunch with our family, and since we were off drinking, we went for a 1500/- inclusive of all taxes Brunch that included unlimited Mocktails and Ice Teas of their choices (the one that included unlimited booze was priced at 2500/- inclusive of all taxes). Seemed like a decent bargain for the big list consisting of Bread Basket, 1 Veg and 1 Non-Veg Soups, 4-5 Salads, Veg and Non Veg Starters (almost 8 Veg and 8 Non Veg), Choice of Breads, 6 veg and Non-Veg dishes (including dals), Grilled Turkey and 2 variety of Rices and almost 6 to 8 varieties of desserts together with Strawberry / Mango / Vanilla Ice Cream.

On a Christmas afternoon, Grillopolis was all Christmas-y with nice songs playing in the background and awesomely decorated tables and buffet counter. ...added so much to our already happy mood that was all set to enjoy the festivity meal. The restaurant was divided into two section, 1 for patrons who would prefer to order from the menu and the other one for Buffet. With so much to offer, it is difficult to not like anything, right? yep indeed!! BUT there was more to dislike and very little to enjoy.

The Spicy Chicken Soup was Yum. It definitely had our hopes high. By then our Mediocre tasting Mocktails were served. Barring and Ice tea, everything tastes bad. We chose to skip salads and ordered starters. Cheese Corn Poppers were so boring. This is one thing which is impossible to go wrong with. But tasted so Bland and herb-less. Tangy Spicy Chicken was equally disappointing. Hardly spicy, not-at-all tangy, very salty and completely chewy. This was followed by Mushroom on Canapes. While the topping of mushroom was yummy, canapes were basically made of toasted bread. Now what on earth one substitutes Canapes with Toasts? Carrot and Apricot Rolls tasted like a potato patty with loads of carrot in it. Tasteless!! Chicken Balls were absolutely hard and chewy, though the tomato dressing was yum. Grilled Chicken Wings, Coconut Dipped fried Prawns and Fish Tikka were the only thing that were Superb. Chicken wings served on on a live-grill dressed with Barbecue Sauce was perfectly tender, juicy and nice. Fish Tikka and Fried Prawn were perfectly spiced, and grilled and fried respectively.

For mains they had lot of Veggies which we chose to ignore. All that we tasted was Black Dal and Dal Tadka. Dal Tadka was the best dish under the Vegetarian fare (that we had). Black dal tasted more like a sweet lentil tomato soup....instant turn-of. fApricot Chicken (although had more chickpeas and chicken, and tasted on no-apricots...forget about finding them) and the Kali Mirch Chicken were absolutely stunner, the best of the day from the Non-Veg section. There were few other non-veg fare that were too dry or bland for our palette which was best forgotten (we mean it). Strangely, the highlight of the Christmas Brunch 'Grilled Turkey' was worst among everything. Not well done, we asked them to serve it on the live-grill (like chicken wings), and

Honestly, Most of the desserts were an insult to the word 'Desserts'. Mousse was buttery rather than creamy, rum balls were hard and flavorless, Churros were soft and chocolate sauce runny, chocolate salami was nothing but slices of dark chocolate biscuits, Brownie was strictly ok. Mango and Strawberry Ice Cream was full of flavoring and coloring agent that left a bitter after taste. Mango Souffle was the only thing that was good.

We were for giving it strictly 2.5 but convinced ourselves to give it 3 for two reasons:
1. Attendants: Courteous and Helpful , they were able to fulfill our request in no time with a smile on their face.
2. Very Very Few Things that tasted exceptionally well.

Definitely not 'worth-it' unless they improve their standards of dishing-out food worth the ambiance, service and prices.

I happened to eat here during an office outing with almost 30 people that i work with on a Tuesday evening. We walked in around 8 pm and it was almost empty. The inside of this place is artfully decorated, there is a rustic wild west theme with complementing posters and lighting. The starters were average, i personally liked only the grilled chicken, but nothing stood out. Main course was very mediocre with only a french starta remaining in memory after a day! Could not see many others in the restaurant, and i could see why. The rating is purely for the ambience..

This is a very good restaurant and has a wide selection of starters. You could opt for buffet and they will serve the range of starters at the table. You can later go for main course and desserts. They have both non-veg and veg starters. However, they are better at non-veg ones..the barbeque chicken on the grill placed at the table was the highlight of our meal..
