Owner description: Mahatma Gandhi once lived in this simple, two-story building, which is now a museum, library and research center depicting Gandhi's life and struggles for Indian freedom through peaceful means.

Felt very privileged to see where Gandhi used to stay when in Bombay. Try to visit when it is less crowded since there isn't very much room!

Museum is small in size, with displays, rather than actual photos, etc. There was one room set up where he'd slept and worked. Most space is NOT air conditioned, making it uncomfortable. My group agreed, for the most part, it was quite depressing experience. But, it is historical.

Situated in a leafy street in an old building complete with creaky stairs and wooden paneling.
An interesting story and this was shown by photographs and rather 'old fashioned' models!
Worth a visit

I got more than I expected here. It is quite small and some parts are not air-conditioned but it is worth the discomfort. The museum offers a true insight into a wonderful man's life. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Mumbai.
