Owner description: Mahatma Gandhi once lived in this simple, two-story building, which is now a museum, library and research center depicting Gandhi's life and struggles for Indian freedom through peaceful means.

Good place to learn more about Gandhi's life. There is no entrance fee but donations are requested. I went through the exhibits in about 20 minutes.

This was just a quick stop on our day tour but if I had more time I would have liked to spend time in the library. The room which Gandi stayed in has been preserved giving an insight into his very simple daily life and the exhibition charts his life in a well thought out way.

The museum has about 4 floors and has detailed historical information on Gandhi. It is free to visit and there were lots of visitors there. It is worth the visit considering there isn't much else to see at Mumbai.

A very important place to visit. India will not be the same if Gandhi had not existed. The bedroom is very minimalist, gives an strong idea of this person personality. Free entrance and donation as per your budget.

Gandhi fully loaded as far as Mani Bhavan is concerned. It is one of the intresting museum on life of Mahatma but not as good as one in Ahmedabad. I would suggest one who havent seen anything on Gandhi to visit Mani Bhavan for a hour or two. Good that Mumbai Chowpatty is walking distance from here...
