“Atmospheric”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

The gateway to India is buzzing with people and pedlars encouraging you to spend your money on their photos/ fans / jasmine etc, but then a place like this, which is on everyones must see list is always going to be a haven for such folk.

The iconic gateway is probably best seen from the sea, but nonetheless, its worth a stop just to soak in the atmosphere.

“Only because it's a "Must-see"”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

The gate itself is underwhelming, but it's nice to be near the ocean and the area is great for people watching.

“Overrated”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

This arch gate is an overrated monument by European standards. It's not worth to see for its architectural beauty but only for what it signifies - the same gate witnessed the imperial arrivals but also last collonial ships sailing off Indian soil.

“Best place to know Glory of Indian History at Mumbai”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

I have visited this place many times & my every visit made me to feel proud to be a citizen of India by having such a diverse & golden history.
This place welcomes every visitor and one can sit for hours to enjoy the vast sea views, glorious building of Taj Hotel opposite to this and ferry rides. This monument makes you feel proud of India's prosperity in ancient times.
