Worth a visit just to say you've seen it, but not much there.
We were staying in the Taj Mahal Palace hotel opposite so it was just a walk across the road.

A true piece of architectural engineering that is well worth the visit. The only downside is the amount of street hawkers attempting to take your picture, give you flowers then ask for money.

Great monument, but the crowds can become unbearable with photographers bothering you , to take photos of you.

Do this early for photos from land side and take a trip to Elephanta island for the gateway as its meant to be seen. I loved the chaos of the ferries. Don't photograph the naval port on the way out though, that's a no- no.
