i have stayed at JW marriot many times and its THE most Prefered hotel in mubai by me and my group of friends. It suited for all purposes, be it business meet or leisure travel. located just by juhu beahc, the vies are great, property is awesome. The best coffee shop in town (apart from that of Hilton towers ,by marine drive) , great food, vast choice of restraunts, italian, chinese and even the indian ..all of the are just simply great.
Buffet unarguably the best in india, just the standard rooms are bit cramped up in size but that there in all of mumbai, but the club rooms and oceanic suite is great. The nightclub 'Enigma' the best crown in mumbai can be seen there, with some great music.
Bombay bakery house, for amazing pasteries, salads and cakes.
all in all the best of mumbai Jw marriot, i have staye at lot of others across mumbai but it remains my first choice

1. When we first entered, the hotel, they wanted our credit card if we had one and over 3000 rupees as a deposit or one of our personal belongings in case we damage the room. We said we were not aware of this and the travel agency did not tell us about this and we would not have anything to give them. The lady then left the room as we did not have anything to offer the hotel and we were completey unaware of this. As it is a foreign country we trusted no one.

2. They then got our personal details and room bookings all incorrect. They had a different name booked with different room bookings. I then had to put our correct email address and details on their form.

3. The room we had has a disabled handle bar in the toilet but this was loose and came off 3 times. They got it repaired. They then moved us into an advanced room to stop us complaining. We also heard banging and drilling work going on every morning before 9.00am. This was another reason why they moved us. This problem was resolved because they moved us into an executive room with no charge.

4. On the last day they said we were not covered for a free airport transfer from the hotel to the airport. Our hotel voucher clearly stated that return airport transfers was included. They said it only applied from the airport to the hotel when you arrive there and not from the hotel to the airport. They took 2000 rupees of us in advance for a J W Mariott hotel car to take us on the last day from the hotel to the airport. Instead at the last minute they called a local taxi firm, which was cheaper. As we did not want to be late for the flight we got into this local taxi. We did not get our 2000 rupees back. The hotel must have paid this taxi 60-70 rupees for the journey and must have kept the rest of the money. They did promise us they will give us their car. We got conned on the last day by 2000 rupees. Please could you look into this matter for us as we have advised the travel agencies not to send anyone there at all.

5. My wife had food poisoning on the last day as she has only eaten meals from the Lotus cafe throughout the holiday from the buffet menu at J W Marriott Hotel. They put food out and displayed it, but it is the same food everyday, so if it is not finished the previous day, it is left out again the next day. I contacted the hotel Doctor and told him of this matter and he told me what medicine to take. I did not eat anything out of the hotel and only ate at this hotel. My husband was also ill with diarrheah.

We only stayed at the Marriot for a few days but it was the best few days that we have ever spent in Mumbai. The food was great - breakfast......oh my god.......there was soooo much to chose from I was lost and after our 3night stay still did not manage to taste everything!

After visiting Mumbai, the heat and people, getting away to the private pool was amazing. Cool water, great pool service - would definately come again.

The fact that it also opened out directly to the beach was amazing, my wife loved the view and the pictures we got were amazing.

We have stayed at the JW Marriot over our last 4 visits to Mumbai & we love it! We have stayed in both deluxe rooms and suite too. The atmosphere in the hotel is awesome, especially on weekends and club nights. The hotel location in Juhu is superb!

Spotting the Bollywood Gliterrati that frequent the hotel was great entertainment! The lower floor club ,'Enigma' provided a great buzz too with great music!

The pool side is amazing and very private considering the flow of people to this hotel. Beach access from the rear was very convenient. We also enjoyed access to the club lounge on the 4th floor where you can chill and have a great view of the pool, Ocean & Beach.

The different restaurants at the hotel are all worthwhile and have individual style. The BBC is a great place to chill during the day as is the Lotus Cafe at 4am in the morning!

The only thing I would say is that I have noticed the price of accommodation steeply rise over our visits which is starting to put us off as we normally like to stay at least a week.

This is the closest that you can get to royalty. I stayed here for 1-night for an airport transfer & as soon as I entered I felt as if I had entered some sort of Roman palace paradise type place. You do get what you pay for over here. Although the food is overpriced, the hotel is out of this world.
