“Flea market for Women”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

Linking Road, which begins in Bandra (W) and stretches on to the end of Santa Cruz (W) is a multi-faceted road. At the Bandra end, its starts as a normal road, graduates into a full-blown flea market selling womens footwear and bags, graduates into a small-scale High Street for womens's cloths and bags and finally tapers out into a residential area.

If you're a woman, looking for some budget shopping, dont miss the Bandra part of Linking Road. While shopping off the road, remember to bargain heavily. My thumb rule of bargaining is to start at 50% of what the shopkeeper quotes, eventually ending with 60%-75% depending on my mood and couterpart.

“Shop Till you Drop!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

For kitsch stuff, this is one of the best places in Bombay. I was on a holiday in Bombay and my sister took me to this place. I shopped so many cotton T shirts, chappals, street jewelry and what not. Altogether it is a fun place to shop when you are on a budget. There were trendy stuff lined up all across the streets and vendors were selling them off on great prices. A little bit of bargain and you can break the deal. Trust me I loved this place.

“The street shopping destination”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

After Colaba Causeway, all travelers must try Linking road. There is a huge variety of clothes bags and shoes available on sale. Its a place which is popular for street shopping but also flaunts many stores of different brands. The price range available is wide enough to suit anyone's pockets. Its the perfect place to pick up junk jewelry, hair ties and other accessories. You definitely come away with a good bargain!

“Shopoholic???? this is a place to be!!”

To get to linking road if travelling by train you can get off at Bandra railway station (West side).
Take a rickshaw to linking road-National Collage, a place where all the fun begins.
From there you may walk in any direction to get the best bargain.
You may get all possible variety in clothes, shoes, bags, accessories keeping in mind the latest fashion the stock is loaded in all the shops.
All you need to do is not to make it obvious that you are new to the city. Bargain… bargain bargain… to half the price or less than half. Do not let the person feel that you desperately need the stuff you like. The moment they realize they will not budge from his quote. Bargain and try to walk out they will definitely call you for the price little higher than you quoted. This applies to the street shopping however for Mall shops bargain doesn’t apply. They are so many standalone showrooms for different brands.
There are so many eateries around.
This is a place where actually the quote “SHOP TILL YOU DROP” applies :)

“Shopper's Delight”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

Linking Road is a road which extends from Bandra Talkies to Shanti Ashram, Bandra in Mumbai. It is famous for its shopping. Many people come from all over Mumbai, the Thane Dombivali Belt, and Bhiwandi Dombivali belt, and outside to shop on Linking Road. One can find everything from international brands to clever fakes to cheap Chinese goods here. There is a mix of departmental stores, brand outlets, street-side carts and regular shops that sell mainly clothes and accessories. One can also find many restaurants and cafes dotted along the miles long stretch of this road. Though its official name has been "Vitthalbhai Patel Marg" for a very long time, everyone in Mumbai still prefers to call it "Linking Road". The original name was Dadabhai Navroji road. The road starts from the 5-way cross-roads near the Hindustan Petroleum petrol pump, the roads being S.V. Road, Bandra station road, Perry Cross Road and Linking Road. Around this cross-road are located the HP petrol pump and Bank of Baroda.
