“Engineering Marvel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

It is a pleasure driving down the sea-link and reduces commuting time considerably. However be prepared to face congestion at both ends particularly in rush hours.
The toll charges are quite high, Rs.55 for one way and Rs. 82.5 for both ways. Unable to understand the decimal figures of both ways toll since no body gives change.
Both the carriageways are still not open at Worli end and this creates bit of bottleneck.
The illumination of this bridge needs to be improved and should be ON immediately after sunset so that it comes out in full colour in the evening sky.

“Saves travel time !”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

This sea link is one of the best infra projects Mumbai has seen in a long time.. and saves a lot of time travelling north to south of mumbai, especially to beat Mumbai's bumper to bumper traffic jams. The view of the sea is great, if you are on the western side. but i dont think stopping your vehicle in the middle of the bridge and viewing the sea is allowed.
Besides, the important thing you got to remember is there is a speed limit on this sealinking bridge. dont exceed. the cops in extremely eager mumbai cops always record your travel speed and slap a fine on you as your beautiful journey comes to an end. so no matter how tempting it is keep that foot off the accelarator..!! unless your wallet is stuffed.

“Beat the traffic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

Its a great way of beating the traffic from Mahim to Haji Ali, its a great looker, it has a great view of the upcoming Dadar/Prabhadevi/Lower Parel/"upper Worli" skyline. The only issue is the tolls are jammed up if you get there during rush hour and the right turn heading to Haji Ali/ Mahalakshmi Race Course is almost always too busy, but is worth the drive.
