“Manori: feel of rural goa”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

once you reached Manori village by local ferry from Marve jetty , you will feel to be in Goan village with rural landscape and culture.

A must visit place with family , friends, partner because it is nicely tucked away from mad crowd, beach is clean comparatively from others.. the beach is rocky so please be very careful while playing in water and in high tide...

A must visit place for sunset watching and seeking some peace... Manoribel is the nearby the best resort which is next to the beach.. a bit costly but to be good.

“Gorai Beach on Independent Day”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

I have been visiting Gorai Beach once in a while for the last 25 years. On plus side, you can take a drive on the beach as it is sparsely crowded even on a weekend and holidays. It has long stretch of beach compared to other beaches in Mumbai. Not very dirty, though. It is manned by life guards and policemen keeping anti-social elements at bay. On negative side, you have to take a ferry to cross the Gorai creek and then hop on to pricey auto (though Mira Bhayndar buses ply occasionally). We once took a walk from Gorai village to Manori - You don't have to go far to experience laidback life that these fisherman enjoy. It is so detached from frantic city life, yet part of the city. Check high tide timing to avoid disappointment. Worth a daylong visit.

“A decent weekend attraction”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

It was an unusual weekend afternoon when we decided to visit this place. You can reach gorai creek by an auto/bus and then take a boat ride to the Gorai village. The boat ride is quite interesting as you may catch a glimpse of the Golden Pagoda. From the Gorai village you can take an auto or a horse ride towards the beach.
Unlike the other beaches in Mumbai, it is pretty clean and less crowded. One can relax in the peaceful environment and enjoy sunset/sunrise. There are few stalls of Corn, ice-creams and tender coconuts as well.
Other than the beach, you can also visit the Pagoda (Vippassana Centre) which is a wonderful monument for meditation.
Overall, Gorai is a decent attraction for a small weekend outing.
