“Could be a beach cafe in a Mediterranean country!”

Friendly, eager, helpful and efficient service. Great food and lovely ambience. On a cool day of which there are few in Mumbai - its a refreshing change to enjoy Sunday brunch or a meal outdoor ... especially as you can nearly hear the waves crashing and if you let your imagine free ..pretend that the glass walls are actually the grey (note - Not blue!) sea beyond ...Happy portions and tasty food and good tea too - one rarely gets a decent cup of tea even in 5 star hotels

“Chilled out beach bar style in Bombay with a waterfront view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

I was taken by friends to this lovely open air whitewashed beach bar style restaurant for a long all afternoon lunch. We had a platter of homous and various crudites, followed by some very tasty pizzas. Beauitfully cooked authentic italian style thin crust, and with plenty of spice on the 'american hot'. The ambience and view were perfect and it was nice to be outside without choking.
The only complaint was the music was too loud.

“excellent food, outside seating, ideal for dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

my friend tried fish in red sauce and i had grilled stuffed chicken. the food was amazing. Also the ambience is quite perfect for a date though mine was not a date. The service is average by Indian standards. The waiter kept coming to ask if food was finished if they though clearly food was there on the plate. Also, the price was a bit high.

“Overpriced poor food.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

Good location and decor. The place looks very inviting. But the food is very very disappointing. We - a group of 10, tried the Nachos, crostini, Pizzas, Risotto and a couple of other things from the menu. Nothing even remotely came close to being good. It was just, assembly line bland food with no distinct flavor. Never again.

“Artistic food and ambience. Great place to hangout.”

The restaurant sits just next to the Costa Coffee shop at Carter road end. Its a junction of heavy traffic, loads of restaurants, cafes, eateries etc... Corniche is at the corner.. They have valet parking. Sitting outside, you can feel the sea breeze.... you can see the sun set... feel the pulse of bandra, mumbai.
The Ambeince is perfect.. You can't go wrong if you are on a date or with friends or with family having and enjoying dinner. They have A/C's fitted even for outdoor sitting area, incase it gets too hot. Seating is very comfortable.. Music is great.
Food - We are Vegetarians. My wife eats Jain food which was very limited here. Still the chef was able to make one of the items jain. It was soooooo delicious and good, that we couldnt believe it was jain food.
I had a Mushroom risotto. It was perfect. The quantity is also just perfect. They also give a basket of different breads with butter.... so it was just perfect.
Pricing is little on the higher side but its completely justified given the quality of food and ambience.
We loved it. I would recommend it to one and all to enjoy it atleast once.
Let me know how you felt when you went..
