Description: Yauatcha Mumbai catapulted into the hearts and minds of the culinary capital since it opened on 3rd December, 2011. The Indian outpost of the Michelin starred Dim sum teahouse from London sits pretty in the commercial precinct of Bandra Kurla Complex. Serving contemporary Cantonese cuisine, the wide selection of authentic dim sum soon made the restaurant the inevitable talk of the town. Living up to its Michelin standards of food quality and service, Yauatcha redefined the offering of Cantonese cuisine in Mumbai.

“Real Fine Dining!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

Yauatcha, BKC is one of those places you'd rather reserve for a special occasion. The entrance, ambience, staff all are pretty impressive. We went their on our Anniversary and insisted on a seat by the window with BKC skyline in the backdrop, the view is really cool at night with the new Crystal shaped tower at the back.

However, tables are arranged funnily close to each other leaving you to prayers that tables on either side do not get 4 PAX each. Its so compact that you might be forced to squeeze your elbows in.

The food quantity (esp. for a Chinese menu) is extremely small, some justice is brought in by the saucer sized main-course plates !

Do try the Raspberry Dessert... Mind Blowing stuff it is!

“Outstanding High Tea experience!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Through a tie up with a renowned internet restaurant giude portal, my wife and I went for a High Tea experience at Yauatcha. We have never been to a high tea of an oriental nature, where the menu reads dim sums, tea, and macaroons. We selected a delectable array of dim sums, and I must say they blew us away. Somehow the taste of the tea got a lot more enhanced having it with the dim sum. Highly recommend the Hargau, Chicken and prawn, and the Shitaki mushroom dumplings. The macaroons later took the game to another level! They are simply irresistible and dissolve in the mouth. All in all, a great experience, and look forward to being there again for a proper meal!

“Yummy Yauatcha!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

I haven't tried too many dim-sum restaurants in Mumbai, let alone India, but Yauatcha was a real delight! Two of us ordered a round of crispy prawn cheung fun for starters and aromatic crispy duck for our main course. I can recommend both dishes highly. I would've gladly ordered another portion of dim-sum for myself but I didn't want to feel like a glutton (maybe when I come here alone ;))

I've only heard amazing things and read great reviews about their braised pork belly. That's on my to-do list for the next visit. Try it out!

“Outshines Hakkasan...”

Despite being the poor cousin of Hakkasan, Yauatcha is superb. The crispy duck is excellent as is the shrimp dumplings.
