“Satyam shivam sundaram!!”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

The babulnath temple is an old shrine keeping its beauty intact as the people who take care of it are really good at it.the temple has a lift to go up and safety ,security will never concern you if you are in or close by the temple.you can see different deities and above all the huge lingam of lord shiva who is portrayed in Hindu mythology as the god of destruction, death and divine salvation.when I prayed I felt like standing before the father of the universe. Nearby godmother Parvati the beloved wife of lord siva and the bull Nandi ,little lord Ganesha and others made it a cherish able visit to the temple.very peaceful and positively divine!!!

“Special place”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

This ancient temple in the middle of one of Mumbai's most upscale areas is a real getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. You climb up all these steps and then you're in a different world. It's like Ban ganga or the Mahalaxmi Temple, two other wonderful spots in the heart of modern South Bombay. It's really I guess every city has a few of these kinds of places and they are to be treasured.

“Great for die hard fans”

The climb up to Babulnath temple is always unique. Nothing has changed for the past 30 years over here. A great stop for tourists to sample the temples of India and the cultural experience that comes with it.

“Divine touch”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

This temple fascinated me, when I visited first. It's rich heritage enchants me. You can touch and feel the great deity (in Linga form) and offer your own prayers without much restrictions - unlike in South. If you are shiva devotee, you should visit this wonderful temple. The big, old lift for the elderly with meager charges, is such a relief for aged-devotees. Early morning 'darshan' is always preferred, as it gives you much required positive energy for the day :)
