This restaurant is very popular with the local people, who are mostly not South Indian. Therefore, some of the South Indian dishes have been tweaked a bit in terms of flavour in order to cater to the local taste.

However, it is really very, very good.

Since there is a paucity of restaurants in the immediate area, this is a boon for visitors to Malabar Hill.

Again, due to local preferences, it opens only by 11am. Being small, it gets packed late into lunch and dinner. It is therefore a good idea to arrive early in order to get a place.

Recommended are dahi vada, medu vada and the dosas. They also serve ice cream sourced from a small supplier nearby who makes very good home-made ice creams.

Excellent dhai vada to start which was soft spicy and bursting with different flavours. The dosa were very good and the offered them crispy or traditional with a multitude of stuffings.
The coconut chutney was delicious. The only average dish was the sambar which was missing drumsticks and sourness.
I would recommend this place for lunch. It is simple, clean and well maintained.

This restaurant is located at Walkeshwar in South Mumbai and it is known for serving authentic South Indian food. You are greeted by waiters who are wearing a traditional black dress with lungis. You should try one the mini idlis for starters. The idlis are served with 3 types of tangy chutneys and sambhar. Their rasam vada is also worth a try. For main course you can either have one of the dosas or utappas. You can end your meal by ordering one of their rice dishes. The place is quite small and if you want to avoid waiting time then it is best to go before 8 pm.

This is a very nice place. it's located in a quite area inside a hotel. it provides you a huge variety of idli, vada, dosas, sevai and rice. I enjoyed very much a Masala Dosa. It's cooked in a perfect southern Indian style and everything is really cheap as for the price. It's a place attended above all by Indians. We really liked it
