This restaurant is very popular with the local people, who are mostly not South Indian. Therefore, some of the South Indian dishes have been tweaked a bit in terms of flavour in order to cater to the local taste.
However, it is really very, very good.
Since there is a paucity of restaurants in the immediate area, this is a boon for visitors to Malabar Hill.
Again, due to local preferences, it opens only by 11am. Being small, it gets packed late into lunch and dinner. It is therefore a good idea to arrive early in order to get a place.
Recommended are dahi vada, medu vada and the dosas. They also serve ice cream sourced from a small supplier nearby who makes very good home-made ice creams.
