A place worth visiting. It has a big lounge to relax while you wait for your friends to join you for food. Also you can spend your time at nearby Juhu beach or at famous ISCON Krishna temple. Well lit restaurant. Fairly large menu to select items of your choice (or you can try them all since it is buffet), all moderately spiced and at least three desserts to select from. Though Buffet, they serve welcome drink and Ice creams at your table. However you have to walk up to pick starters.

Excellent food. Different from all over the world. It's simply above all dinning on this globe. Every piece of any variety is ready to bite one's fingers too. Enormous variety of extra ordinarily delicious food items.

this is a satvik restaurant meaning they besides not offering any non veg dishes dont even use eggs onions and garlic but the amzing fact is in these limited ingredients one gets such wholesome and real variety of vegetables lentils salads and starters lots of curd dishes and popudums n pickles and you will find out what predominantly veg communities in india eat in any case i strongly recommend everyone who visits india to atr least once try a thali (amalgamation of severl food items)when in india

Parking problems (sometime) and waiting time on weekends (Always) do not deter me from coming here again & again. The food variety consists of a unique collection of dishes from various cuisines of India & also some from Abroad. The food here is totally Sattvik food (Good for body & mind) & does not use "tamasic food’ (foods that cause harm to body or mind eg Onions & garlic) in its preparations. It is difficult to imagine how such tasty food can be prepared without using onions and garlic. This restaurant is highly recommended for tourists who can club it with ISKCON Temple visit às also for locals.Tip best time for lunch 12 noon & dinner b4 8pm

We have been visiting Govindas for many years. The Restaurant was previously within the Mandir building but now newly purpose built restaurant in the building adjacent to the Mandir opened about 5 years ago. Newly vamped, the deco is very soothing and inviting with new furniture and tables nicely dressed.

The Restaurant offers a number of dishes, both Indian and Western, as snacks during the off Lunch/Dinner times . It offers buffet for Lunch and Dinner at a set price which I believe is about 350 rupees, which is value for money for many of the people, particularly the tourists. Many local may find this a bit expensive to their standards. The buffet comprises of many kinds of salads, appetisers, main course dishes including subjis (curries) and other eastern and western dishes and a few items on the desserts. Hygiene standards are high here and the food is absolutely yummy. As it is managed by ISKCON (Hare Krishna), the food offered is pure vegetarian and excludes eggs, meat , onion and garlic.

What I enjoyed most was the breakfasts there. I love their Aloo paratha (spiced potato flat bread) which is served with pickle and natural yogurt. On Sundays, they have buffet breakfast and have a variety of items. During my last stay at the ISKCON guesthouse, I had the opportunity to experience the Sunday breakfast and they had fafra (deep fried savoury cracker made of gram flour) and jalebis with fried green chillies, Apart from the relishing taste, it brought back nostalgic memories of the past when we used to stay in Kenya many years back and the Sunday breakfasts would normally comprise of this combination.

Would highly recommend Govindas to anyone travelling to Mumbai. Its a place where one will experience "variety is a spice of life".
