Hotel Rama Krishna
Ranked #11 of 431 Mumbai B&B and Inns
Reviewed April 7, 2014

We stayed at this hotel for two nights - 3rd and 4th April 2014.
The advantage of this hotel is its location - just adjacent to vile parle rly station on the east side.
The rooms are well managed with the housekeeping staff doing good work.
It houses a pure veg multi cuisine restaurant serving very good south indian tiffins as well as north indian food - all very good and value for money.
The hotel offers pick up and dropping to/from airport which is very close by.

The only thing good about this hotel is its location. Very nearby to station and most of the good places in Mumbai is easy approachable. Rooms are very small, but clean. Service is very poor. They also have a pure veg restaurant.

Its a Budget hotel with decent service.
There are several shortcomings of this hotel one of which is lift, this hotel is built in residential complex where there is no lift. my room was in second floor and every time i have to use stair case so if you very fit then it wont be an issue for you.

My suggestion would be stay here only if you budget is low and you want to stay very close to airport.

Stayed for the 2nd time while passing Mumbai. Close to the airport with free airport pickup. Well made rooms, clean, though noisy ac.
The restaurant serves maybe the best indian food we ever had.
Stayed up to 6 pm with no extra charge.
Wifi didn't work, though,

First of all, the problem is location, unless you are there for airport or for some work in ville parle itself. It is residential area and has limited eating out options nearby, except Gujrati Farsan Mart (fast food joints) and restaurants. Room was nice and clean and nothing against it as such.

Secondly, the place is crowded whole day as the same complex contains lot of IITJEE and Medical coaching classes. Also, the Ville Parle railway station its just opposite, making it further crowded.

Checked in at 12.30 am on 10th August 2013 & Checked out at 8am on the same day. Paid Rs.4000/- inclusive of taxes for a Double Bed Deluxe Room. The receptionist was not so very friendly and was also arrogant - may be due to the fact that they have good occupancy. The Reception is located on the First floor after a flight of stairs, so avoid if you have aged people or kids travelling with you. Even at the midnight hour, the hotel is buzzing with activity, since it is located pretty close to the Domestic Terminal of the Airport. During the non-traffic hours you will take less than five minutes to reach either to or from the airport. The hotel provides either complimentary drop or pick up, but not both. The rooms are well appointed and the toilets are small but neat and clean. Looks like it is a very old property, neatly refurbished. The housekeeping is excellent and they have even covered the LCD TVs with a custom made cover to keep it dust free.

The Window Air - Conditioners are very noisy and when they are little silent, the Landing and Take offs of the planes will surely disturb your sleep.

Though the vegetarian restaurant serves excellent South Indian food, the lack of complimentary Breakfast at this exorbitant price is not justified.

The toiletries provided are just basic - 2 Nos. of Toilet Soap, that's it. Any hotel that charges this amount should offer a little more.

The passages are narrow and there is absolutely no chance of escape in case of a fire or natural calamity - I don't know how this hotel was cleared by the authorities concerned.

There are dozens of other good hotels in the same vicinity which offer much more for this price. So just avoid.
