Hotel Rama Krishna
Ranked #11 of 417 Mumbai (Bombay) B&B and Inns
Reviewed August 11, 2013

Checked in at 12.30 am on 10th August 2013 & Checked out at 8am on the same day. Paid Rs.4000/- inclusive of taxes for a Double Bed Deluxe Room. The receptionist was not so very friendly and was also arrogant - may be due to the fact that they have good occupancy. The Reception is located on the First floor after a flight of stairs, so avoid if you have aged people or kids travelling with you. Even at the midnight hour, the hotel is buzzing with activity, since it is located pretty close to the Domestic Terminal of the Airport. During the non-traffic hours you will take less than five minutes to reach either to or from the airport. The hotel provides either complimentary drop or pick up, but not both. The rooms are well appointed and the toilets are small but neat and clean. Looks like it is a very old property, neatly refurbished. The housekeeping is excellent and they have even covered the LCD TVs with a custom made cover to keep it dust free.

The Window Air - Conditioners are very noisy and when they are little silent, the Landing and Take offs of the planes will surely disturb your sleep.

Though the vegetarian restaurant serves excellent South Indian food, the lack of complimentary Breakfast at this exorbitant price is not justified.

The toiletries provided are just basic - 2 Nos. of Toilet Soap, that's it. Any hotel that charges this amount should offer a little more.

The passages are narrow and there is absolutely no chance of escape in case of a fire or natural calamity - I don't know how this hotel was cleared by the authorities concerned.

There are dozens of other good hotels in the same vicinity which offer much more for this price. So just avoid.

It was the first time that I stayed in hotel Rama Krishna and I am impressed , a excellent hotel with nice clean rooms and good staff .
When I reached the hotel my check in was speedy and I proceeded to my room located in back wing of the hotel.
Upon reaching the room I fumbled with the keys a bit as I am now use to card keys.
When I entered the room it was nice , clean and spacious and to my surprise had a LCD which showed all the channels.
Room was good but lacked electronic safe or robe or mini bar but it was every penny worth it's price.
Bathroom was super clean but lacked floor Matt, although it was having a good shower and American style toilet along with a small rope suspender on which you can put your clothes to dry.

Now about the food quality , it was ameh-zinng
It serves food of good taste and is fair in quantity. It has all the international beers and whisky brands.

Location of the hotel is superb and I was provided with free drop for the airport , had a peaceful sleep despite of hotel being in very crowded location.

Only thing that bothered me was the room phone had only local calling facility otherwise it's really a great hotel for transit passengers and people visiting on business.

I am impressed maybe because when you check in a hotel just to spend a night in transit your expectations aren't high.

This is one of my favorite hotel in Mumabi, near to airport, economical, good food.

The hotel is divided into three buildings. Have stayed in the main building as well as the cottage style buildings located a few meters away from the old building. I find the rooms here are more spacious, comfortable ,clean and tastefully decorated.

The spring mattress in the rooms are comfortable and the linen was clean. The bathroom, though small, serves its purpose well. Rooms is equipped with AC, coffee maker and LCD TV. The only problem i faced in this room was that the mobile signal were weak and the cell phone got disconnected while speaking several times.

I recommend people to choose the rooms in the outside buildings. The rates can be negotiated.

Local hotel very near the domestic airport, but not in line of the flights, so very little plane noise. The hotel is under going restoration now, the new rooms are very well done....staff are very helpful. They have 2 restaurants, try them both and also try the veg one during day time to experience the local people and scene. Hotel will collect and drop you the airport for free, If you fancy going some where by train, station is just round the corner. Will i stay again YES !!!

Room Tip: due to restoration go for rooms starting from 500 upwards

It is within 1 KM from the domestic airport of Mumbai.

The rooms were not great for the price that they offer.
The service was quick and nothing to complaint about.
The rooms were average and needs a renovation in the near future.

But the biggest PLUS factor is the location.
It is just a walk away from the Ville parle train station.
and the in house restaurant that serves authentic north Indian food.
We never took a chance to have a meal outside... :)

Overall a nice stay at a good locality....

Room Tip: Choose the rooms with good ventilation [Road facing] ...

Clean and not too expensive. Has a superb restaurant with far too many staff and quite high prices.
Rooms a bit claustrophobic but freshly painted and wetroom shower. Views appalling.
Lovely village atmosphere in Vile Parle (pronounced vilay parley). Good bars nearby if you can find them.
Breakfast in coffee shop is pure veg only, if you want eggs then room service only.
Only a few miles from the airport, so a good spot to stay for an early morning flight.
Handy for trains into Bombay central or Victoria.

Room Tip: All rooms are reasonably quiet at night but railway runs nearby
