Description: SOAM ... For Indian home-style comfort food ..That's , fresh, seasonal, vegetarian and healthy. At Soam one can enjoy Indian vegetarian food cooked and served the way it is in traditional Indian homes............ Fresh, seasonal, and healthy. Marwari, Gujarati , Maharashtrian , Punjabi, Kutchi dishes served in individual pre-plated portions tastefully paired with the perfect accompaniments to enhance your dining experience. Soam also serves hygienic versions of popular Mumbai street foods. Sugarcane juice, ice-gola, chaat, and dosas ..Along with a typical Indian teatime snacks (farsaan), and quick meals, faraal (foods for fasting ) or desserts, it's a great place to start your adventure into this tasty, spicy, slightly sweet, and very filling, vegetarian cuisine. Main courses are almost always seasonally changed, serving what's freshly available and appropriately eaten during that time of the year. Along with a low-calorie and a carbohydrate free menu selection that's really great for those watching their calories... So whether you're feasing or fasting come to SOAM ...It's the perfect choice. Soam redefines calmness, spirituality and philosophy of great tasting food~! Said one of our patrons on tripadvisor

Soam near Babulnath is one of our favorite dinner joints. The food at this place never dissapoints as anything on the menu is bound to be well cooked and goes well with the accompaniments. Not to miss is the chunda pickle served on every table, their handvo and handcranked ice cream..

“Best in the city”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

Soam has the best, authentic, local vegetarian cuisine in Mumbai - Gujarati, Marathi and Rajasthani. In refreshing contrast to the endless and confused thalis that many veg. restaurants offer, Soam respects individual dishes for their uniqueness. The food is cooked beautifully, it is fresh and flavourful, never too oily/hot. Their menu offers a wide variety with a seasonal selection in addition to the regular one every few months. Among the drinks, masala chhaas, sugarcane juice and and kairi panna are refreshing and hygenically extracted. The panki, chaat dishes, theplas, kadhi, pitla and thalipeeth, matar poori and dhansak are fantastic. The deserts are to die for - highly recommended are the hand made icecreams in unusual flavours, the malpua and mohanthaal. Chances are you won't find the same dishes elsewhere. The crockery is made of brass, similar to that in traditional Indian homes, and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. Soam doesn't seat more than 50 at a time, doesn't take reservations, and is always packed for dinner so get there early.

“Reliable taste and quality”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

During our long stay in Mumbai, as we continue to explore restaurants in Mumbai, we can't help but revisit Soam multiple times and everytime it comes through... Consistently good food quality with great hygiene for a fraction of the price you pay elsewhere. Soam gets very high mark from me.

Its not a fancy place... but very comfortable, clean (hygenic), good service and good food.

“A Vegetarian Delight !!”
Reviewed June 3, 2012

A nice veggie joint in South Mumbai known for its Gujarathi, Rajasthani food. Though silghtly more expensive, the dishes served here are quiet unique. Here you get snackly items as wellas main course. Even the deserts are worth looking at.

Try the dal bhati churma which you do not find in most of the vegetarian restaurants. Even their tokri of assorted snacks like dhokla, samosa etc. is worth trying.

The place is airconditioned and the ambience is decent. Overall a nice & different place to visit.
