“Good food, good service, knowledgable waiters”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

Good food, right off the starting blocks. And, the staff were very helpful in suggesting items off the menu based on what we told them we'd like to try.

Good pricing too, and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Mumbai should come here, rather than go to a pretentious over-priced over-hyped place like Trishna.

“Outstanding Konkan food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013 via mobile

This sea food restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is truly amazing, the service is polite & quick. You have a choice of ordering with alcohol. Ambience is very pleasant & cosy. For the excellent quality of fish, etc. the prices are good.

“A Lovely Seafood Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

As you have read from other reviews, this place is hard to spot. But it is absolutely worth it.

A friend of mine(who knows the owner of the hotel) took me to there saying it serves very good seafood. And I wasn't disappointed. I had Surmai Fry, Prawns Kerala style and a crab preparation(without shells), and Neer Dosa - all three were very nicely prepared. The fish and prawns were just rightly cooked, with just the right amount of spices used. I loved it. Will go back there again for sure.

If you are visiting Mumbai, don't miss this place! This is how the seafood is ACTUALLY cooked in most Indian homes.

And don't forget to order a Malai Kulfi for dessert. They source it from a local Parsi dairy, and it is just as amazing as the food!

“Top place, especially if you like seafood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2012

We had dinner here twice during our stay and on both occasions it was truly excellent. Try some Kerala prawns to start with! As well as the prawns, we had a variety of seafood dishes, including some tasty clams, grilled fish fillets (which were nicely spiced), mutton kundapor (very spicy) and a spicy chicken dish (the name of which I can't remember!), together with the usual rice and breads - all very tasty. Washed down with some Kingfishers and a coffee, with a cheap Indian brandy, to finish. Thoroughly enjoyable and not too expensive, by Mumbai standards - about 2800 rupees for the two of us.

A little difficult to find, but worth the effort. Nicely air conditioned, friendly and helpful service (but they could do with some training on how to use credit/debit card machines) and well patronised by the local business community. I think the best of the many restaurants we visited in India. Highly recommended.
