We arrived at the hotel fortune and we were taken to a standard room - even though we were sure we had booked a deluxe. Our room was tiny, the beds were dirty and the windows wouldn't close - needless to say, Mosquitos were rampant. We then tried to access the free wifi, however the woman at the desk tried to tell us we had to pay. On questioning her, she finally admitted that yes, we did have free wifi but not before trying to rip us off.
The worst part of all was that they were renovating the room below ours and construction was going on until 10pm!! Not to mention the safety concerns that come with that kind of construction.
As we were so exhausted this first evening, we put up with this crap.
Then to top it all of, on check out we attempted to discuss things with the manager who was downright rude, obnoxious and tried to offer us 4000 ruppee hush money which we flat out declined. We showed our paperwork indicting that we had booked a delux room, only to be made to sleep in a standard room.
As young females, we feel extremely taken advantage and are still waiting for this issue to be resolved!
It was just an awful place to stay with staff who were extremely difficult to deal with and only seemed interested in ripping off young western travelers.
We were eaten alive by mosquitos, essentially made to sleep in a construction site and our room stunk like mould!
All in all, it was just horrible and as three young girls travelling to see the best of Mumbai, we were extremely dissapointed and felt horribly taken advantage of.
Don't ever stay here is my advice, as no one deserves to be treated the way we were.

We arrived at this hotel at approximately 5pm at night. There were men carrying bags of cement up the stairs. Hammering and drilling was occurring, as well as dust everywhere making the air hard to breathe. We checked in and were shown one of the most disgusting rooms I have ever seen. After paying $200 for 2 nights for a Deluxe suite, seeing two disgusting single beds in a tiny room (for 3 girls) was disappointing, especially since the neighbouring rooms were much bigger. We were almost tricked into paying for the wifi that was meant to be "free", we were not given our free breakfast and the renovations (directly below our rooms) began at 8am and ceased well after 9pm - on a Saturday and Sunday night. When we complained to management upon checking out, an argument went on for over an hour in which we were threatened and demeaned by the hotel owner and his receptionist. After not being offered adequate compensation (aka a refund or decent amount back) we said we would be going to our booking agent Expedia. 3000 rupees (60 dollars) was then tried to be slipped to us in an envelope as "hush money." As Catherine mentioned the windows are atrocious and mosquitos bit us all night due to them not having screens or even be able to be shut properly. This place is an absolute dive; the staff are con artists and it deserves to be shut down.

I stayed in the hotel for a day. As i wanted to go to bombay hospital for my mother's check up.i booked the room over phone and requested for early check in. I reached mumbai 6.30 am,from mumbai central station i directly came to the hotel it took me 10mins . After a few disscusion the staff agreed to let me do early check in . I took the supirior room which cost 4500rs. The amount was too much for this type of room but i guess they r charging for the loaction of the hotel. The standerd room is very small like a cage. U cant even breath freely in that room. Even though the hotel is renovated but its still was average to me. Talking about the staff they never smile. All blanks faces. And to my suprise next day when i was checking out they asked for two days rent as i early checked in . Then again after few arguments they agreed to charge for just one day. I cant say i had a good experience in the hotel but as my porpose of the visit was not leisure it was okay type hotel for me.

We booked and paid in advance through Agoda, on arrival the hotel Night Manager tried to make us pay an additional 25% Service Tax in cash. We refused as all services and taxes were inclusive of the price that we paid. This dispute went on for 2 days and the staff were frankly rude and aggressive. They only stopped hassling us when I showed them an email from Agoda customer Services stating that we should not pay any more cash. Then the free wifi service disappeared and was replaced by a service that you pay 100 rupees per hour for.
The accommodation is not cheap- even by Mumbai standards, the room was OK however the sheets and the bathroom were dirty, the toilet was disgusting and when we asked for toilet paper they gave us a stack of paper serviettes that would not flush.
We had 2 windows in our room, one looked out on a brick wall and the bathroom window opened into a mechanics garage- not ideal when you are in the shower.
The location is not great either, it's a good 40 minute walk to Colaba and surrounding tourist attractions.
I would not recommend this place at all, the staff are dodgy, they are clearly trying to scam money out of tourists and there are very few plus points.
