Pretty decent hotel for Indian standards. Rooms are equipped with all the necessary stuff like TV, AC, comfortable bed, etc. relatively clean. Bathrooms are quite small simple and old.
The biggest plus is the location, which is within walking distance of several good restaurant, shopping and walking streets. The best (and safest) restaurants are to be found in the other bigger hotels however.
Another great feature is the jungle themed restaurant (kinda like rain forest cafe in the US) which serves very good Indian, Chinese and western food.
AND there is a really interesting bar called "Opium" right in the hotel! Now this bar is advertised in the rooms but there are no visible directions for it anywhere inside the hotel! The way it works is that you ask the waiter at the jungle restaurant about Opium and they will quietly point you towards the bathrooms! After repeating your question a few times, and taking a closer look at the bathroom area, you realize that they in fact did not misunderstand you. There is a somewhat hidden door behind the bathroom area leading to the bar. Once inside you find yourself in a dimmed room blaring loud rock music with all the amenities of a western bar and reasonable prices drinks... Who would have thought?

The place is decent for a family, can stay.
Rooms are okay in decorum, but clean.
Food is good.
Service is good.
The Jungle theme restaurant is good.
The wifi was drastically slow, wish that was better.

I stayed here on 4th may and checked out on 5th. Nice quite place to stay. Prakash the restaurant manager is a great person I would say. Almost a year back I came here to grab some quick food and meet him in jungle(restaurant). When I checked in yesterday at almost mid night he took my name ....I was like flat there itself. Ravi from served us well in breakfast. Had a great lunch in guffa the indian restaurant. Strongly recommended.

I stayed here with a small group for 5 nights in 5 rooms in Jan. 2014

This is an average mid-range hotel. For the amount of time we spent in the rooms while visiting Mysore, it was just fine.

The good
Breakfast was ridiculously abundant. I can't think of anything that they didn't have, from cheese to freshly cooked dosas with multiple types of chutney. This is by far the best breakfast buffet I've see of this range of hotel.

There were virtually no street sounds in the rooms.

Location is great and in the middle of the city.

The bad
The jungle restaurant! I'm not into to kitchy eating places, specially not early in the morning.

There are conference rooms on each floor, which meant the hallways were extremely noisy until well after mid-night. The staff cleaning up after the events were over were even louder than the guests.

Some of the rooms don't have windows

Although the staff are friendly and courteous - it took 3 days before they came to see about the animal noise I heard in the ceilings. Eventually they moved me to another room, but they should have taken care of it on the first day.

Would I stay here again?
It worked for my group, but I'd likely not stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room far from the conference rooms.

The location of Pai Vista is excellent- right in the centre of Mysore and within close vicinity of the Mysore Palace. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast spread is good and so is the theme restaurant Junglee. Courteous staff. There is even a roof top pool and a fairly decent gym.
Value for money.

The location of the Pai Vista is great - right in the centre of Mysore and within easy reach of all the places we wanted to visit. Unusually for a city hotel it was very quiet as it is set back from the road - no traffic noise to disturb our sleep was an added bonus!

The rooms are comfortable and clean with all the expected amenities (fridge/minibar, coffee/tea making, TV, telephone, A/C etc) The power shower was amazing after travelling in some more rural places which have lower water pressure!

We booked the hotel because it seemed to have all the amenities we would want as a treat towards the end of our trip - 2 restaurants, bar, pastry shop, pool, gym, auyervedic spa, travel desk, gift and handicraft shop - and we were not disappointed! Everything was clean and well maintained. 24 hour room service was efficient. All of the staff were welcoming, helpful, very well trained and professional, and spoke excellent English.

This is a really great find. Mysore is a beautiful city with plenty to do so we will be back - and we will be staying at the Pai Vista!

This hotel is excellent value for money, we paid Rs 4,700 per night for Comfort A/C accommodation for 2 sharing including breakfast and taxes
