“Very Good Hotel”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

I booked this hotel through cleartrip and I am happy with it. Rooms are clean and spacious. Best part is that it has a good restaurant and prices are reasonable. It is helpful as we do not have to worry about finding a good restaurant outside.

An impromptu halt at Mysore took us to this hotel almost in the middle of the night. Almost all the rooms were booked and the only room that was available was one bearing the number 111. Not sure if people are superstitious or otherwise :) but we checked in for a one-day stay.
The staff were quite courteous, rooms were clean and tidy and the rates are reasonable. Our room had an awesome view of the Mysore city, although there is no balcony but the big glass windows (can be opened) is good enough to offer a great view of the Mysore city, the hotel is actually on a higher ground. The place around the hotel is calm and easily accessible, has ample parking space. The hotel has a restaurant and they make fabulous Dosas and coffee, which we had for breakfast. Although we were on a sight seeing trip and could taste the lunch and dinner.

This hotel is also called Dasprakash (probably because Dasprakash is the group that owns these hotels) and there is another hotel by the same name (called New Paradise) in Mysore.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms with Windows towards the hotel entrance as they open up to the view below and far.

The drive to reception is great and their lobby is good. This is located at a quiet residential locality of Mysore and it is close to Rly station.
Opted for non AC single room but they gave a double bed room. The room was big with 2 separate beds, CRT TV, Chairs and table for sit out and dress cupboard. The beds and sheets were neat. The view from the hotel huge glass window is awesome. The day I stayed, it was raining heavily and the entire city was looking as if it is covered in mist. The bath room was clean with by gone era taps with bath tub. Hot water is available till 10 am only. Towels are clean and they provide complimentary toiletries. They have a huge parking area for cars.
They have a restaurant at ground floor which serves good south Indian food however their north Indian side curry was not that great and Rotis were expensive.
They have a bar ( more like a sit out ) at 1st floor. This is a good place to chat with friends with a drink without the usual blaring music. It was less crowded, hence was more peaceful.
The depressing part was, if you book online the rates are less and you also get complimentary breakfast. If you book directly / walk in you are charged more and there is no complimentary breakfast..... unable to understand the parity....felt dissapointed and cheated. When asked the receptionist they say thats how it is... pls book online and had no convincing answers.Management must look into this and sort the same.
It is a value for money hotel.

Room Tip: Pls book your rooms online.

Dear Sir,
We value the time and effort put in by you to give us such a detailed review. Complimentary breakfast is offered to the guests booked through travel agents as they give us assured business right through the year. But your point of view is well taken and will be discussed for the future. We once again thank you for your valuable input.

We booked this hotel in a hurry and when I called the price was very reasonable, on our arrival we were greeted with a chilled cocktail, the room was neat/clean and had all the basic amenities that one needs. The best part was the morning 3 course breakfast.

Overall it was a fulfilling experience. Book here to save some bucks and still enjoy the stay.

Room Tip: Go with the non-ac rooms, u dont really need A/C in Mysore.
