This really is a lovely tranquil place set in pretty grounds. The room we had on the upper level was spacious, had a very comfortable bed, was well decorated, well equipped and clean; likewise the bathroom, although there is no bath, and the little balcony is a good place to just sit awhile. Unlike a few other guests, our experience of the Olive Garden restaurant was absolutely splendid; we had a very good dinner with some very nice white wine and good service both nights of our stay and whilst it's standard fare the breakfast is perfectly acceptable and plentiful.
Indeed, the only reasons why I didn't give Windflower the full 5 spots is that sleep before about midnight was difficult on the Sunday we were there (and I understand most Sundays) due to the live music at the neighbouring golf club and the much appreciated free WiFi only works for one device. So my tips to you are 1) get a high number room if you're there at the weekend as they are farthest from the noise, and 2) make sure you connect your most important device to the WiFi first.
