We checked into the Hotel over the long week end of Goof Friday to Easter Sunday. Right from the front office staff to the room service and house keeping, the staff are just not trained to handle Holiday travelers who are willing to spend money.
We checked in before lunch. The package booked for was not clear as we had through their Bangalore sales office. The room alloted to us had two separate beds when we were four including our 2 kids!
The food coupons were not clear and took more than an hour for the staff to get back and confirm. The additional requested in the room was not provided until 10 pm. Fortunaltely, the Hotel GM's number was available in the room for us to call for any assistance. Upon calling her and briefing her of all the issues, she organised a BED from their property near Brindavan Garden which arrived at midnight!!
Well, Day one ended like this pat midnight, we stayed for another night, fortunately slightly less eventful. Any Hotel that needs a General Manager's intervention is certainly not worth going back to and that too in a tourist town for a vacation. Our bill for the day stay including all expenses was no less than close to 350 USD. So, it is not a cheap Hotel, hence the service expected is only just.
