We had a 15 days tour of southern India & we happened to stay in this amazing property for 2 nights & we just loved to see the majesty & royalty of the incredible masterpiece.... The palace is so beautifully maintained that it gives you imperial and noble feel.... The staff is extraordinary ..... The service is too prompt & efficient.... so full marks on all the fronts..... For me it is a superb property!

we had our club family get together and also individual get together in two different periods. it was amazing and unbelivable service given by the team of people. our entire group around 500 members including kids had a nice time. we have to thank mr bharathan who gave us an marvelous rememberance with his team mates. we had a delicious food for the hole period we stayed. personally i stayed for 10 days in that hotel all together. they gave me a beautiful suite rooms for my family. this stay will be a rememberable occasion in my life time.

The building, the gardens, the view, the palace in general is beautiful but inside nothing works as a real royal hotel. The room was dirty, even the bed linen. Of course they came inmediatly to change it but the disappointment was done. Any electrical contact works normaly. In the bathroom, only hot water. Old towels. Noises next door all time. The smell was old and humide. The fan works only in the hight possition. In general, all the room services seems from 1931! Anyways, the staff is very kind. The breakfast was also very disapointing: bottles of juice insted of fresh fruit juice like in this cathegorie of hotels, dirty tablecloth. The price is too expensive for the hotel services they ofer. Maybe in 1931 was glorious but today a maintenance and a good administration is urgent.

Room Tip: Go to visit the palace, have a chai outside and stay in a nice and clean room in another hotel in My...

This hotel was recommended to us but it was unavailable when we tried to book it. Instead we visited at night to look upon Mysore under lights. We played billiards and drank cocktails, while marvelling at the beautiful design of the building. The Mysore Palace was under lights, and could be seen from the gardens of Lalitha Mahal, many kilometres away. Was a perfect way to while away the evening. If I find myself back in Mysore, will definitely be looking to stay at the Lalitha Mahal

Room Tip: We were shown the "Kings room" and it smelt a bit like mothballs, because it isn't ope...

This is a very beautiful property if you happen to be someone who enjoys staying in the royalty! A lot to see and walk around from the royal entrance to the corridors. The Heritage classic rooms/suites are very nice and the staff is very hospitable! They go out of the way to help. Food is expensive but definitely tasty! Worth a stay for sure!!

We didnt realize Lalitha Mahal is the No. 2 palace in Mysore. It's set in a sprawling and isolated campus but well kept. Tourist pass by everyday, they have tough time knowing who's guest vs. visitor. Food - too expensive.
