We booked this place because of the fair price and based on the pictures we saw on A popular Booking site. The hotel was true to its pictures so we got what we expected which is a very good deal !
Nice large and clean rooms not far from the thick of things. Comfy beds, hot water and even International cable TV at very reasonable price.

The staff and manager were especially helpful, we even got a ride to a restaurant offered by the chatty and helpful manager.

We just hope they can maintain the level of comfort and cleanliness of the place for others to enjoy, the hotel has been open for 8 months and we can start to see the very slow effect of innapropriate daily maintenance which will end up fading the cleanliness down, please MB take care of your hotel to keep it clean !
For the moment, we highly recommend the place if you stop by Mysore.

By the way, the raja's palace is a must-see in Mysore but only lit up on sunday nights. Beautiful by day nevertheless...

The hotel is located close to Mysore city center, close to the cathedral. Hotel is clean and comfortable, a good bathroom and the staff was very nice. As I was leaving in the evening, they offered me an other room for free to refresh before taking my night train.

I actually stayed in this hotel only for a day and had a great experience here. I stayed with my wife and daughter (first trip to mysore for us) and my wife even now speak about their hospitality and kindness. They provided us a surprise complimentary pickup from the railway station which was actually not mentioned while booking. The room was excellent, spacious and most importantly had a 24 hours running hot/cold water and had a great ambience for a very budget price. Always try to call the hotel directly and book and you may get good discount than in websites. I must give a special mention to their high end bed and comforters which my daughter still used to remeber (she was always hesitating to get out of the bed even for sightseeing).

Also the hotel had some great policies especially for kids like complimentary milk/cofee etc., The mangement arranged me cabs for sightseeing and also provided good guidance. Overall, we have decided whenever we go to mysore we will be staying in this great hotel, MB international rocks!!!!!!

My taxi driver warned me about the street in which this hotel is located, saying it is in a "gali"(narrow lane). The gali is not well drained and is also unsealed, so you may have to step through muddy puddles to enter the hotel even when it is not raining (since adjoining buildings direct their wash off water into it). This is not all that remarkable in Indian cities, but it is surprising in Mysore because Mysore has a superior grasp of civic pride compared to other cities.

Other than this rather off-putting first impression, the locality is convenient and the hotel is close to Mysore Palace, Gandhi Circle and Devaraja Market. Autos are easy to get on the main road.

Rooms are of a reasonable size, with comfortable beds, but considering that there is no dining room in the hotel, a small table to eat the room-service breakfast would have been a good inclusion. For those who find the room-service breakfast uninspiring, I suggest the buffet breakfast at Fortune JP Palace, which is a 5-minute walk away.

The bathrooms in guest suites can be difficult. The showers are placed right next to the toilet, and in some rooms, the water flow is over the toilet. No shower curtain or screen it fitted. I looked at 4 rooms before settling on one in which it was possible, with care, to shower without colliding with the toilet.

The hotel is saved by its staff, who were very friendly and did their best to compensate for the problems inherent in the design of the building and its unprepossessing entry. They provided fruit baskets, offered to mop bathrooms after showers, and enquired regularly about whether any assistance was needed.

Room Tip: Look at the bathroom before deciding on the room.

We were exhausted from a very long trip through the south of India when we reached Mysore. We were so glad that we heeded the Tripadvisor rating on this hotel because although it's not the fanciest, it was exactly what we needed at the time. The bed was comfortable, they have cable with some English language movie channels, which you may know are hard to come by in India, and the staff is incredibly helpful. The manager Nazru was incredibly helpful with everything we needed, you can tell that he thrives on hospitality and he is happiest when his guests are comfortable and taken care of. I don't think this place can be beaten value-wise.
