Located around 5 km from the heart of the city, The Pelican Pub is a must visit after a long day of sightseeing. The day time in Mysore is considerably warm and we were more than happy to unwind in the cool outdoor seating areas (Covered with sheet and equipped with fans) available at the pub.

The food was pretty good. The portions are decent but towards the smaller side. Nobody complained much about that since the prices were more than decent. We were quick to try all their specialties listed on the menu. Being hard core non vegetarians, we were surprised when we left the place praising the Spinach balls more than the Chilly Pork. Well, thats how good it was. I also found the Lime Chicken pretty amazing as well.

My friends who all treated themselves to some drought beer said that the beer was refreshing as well as cheap at Rs. 320 for a pitcher.

Overall, it was a really good place to just relax, eat good food and have a nice conversation with a beer or two. .

Visited this place twice in the six days we spent in Mysore in November '13- more because of its bar and beer.
The family area is quaint, the owner visits each table to greet the guests, but food is nothing to write home about.
Worth a visit for the beer and setting.

The Pelican Pub serves good food and beer, and has a lovely ambiance in the evenings.

There are separate areas for families and for smokers, so something for everyone.

The owner is a delightful older gentleman who loves to greet his customers - it's lovely that he takes such an interest - and the staff are helpful, polite and efficient.

Prices are very reasonable too!

We visit Mysore quite regularly. An unwritten rule we visit this joint. They have a pub where they serve branded beer. We enjoy all food severed there.Special koodoos to the boss.He walks into every table and greets them.A good gesture indeed. Cleen place too.
Will keep visiting again and again.

This is an old joint well known not requiring a review on any site, yet here it is. The beer is good and so is the food. If you are visiting in the evening the owner of the place visits every table and enquiries if they are being served well. Good place to just spend some time. Value for money.
