We decided to visit this hotel one lunch time as we had heard good reports about it. It is a little way out of town and we had a lot of trouble getting a tuk tuk to take us there as they all said it was too far! Glad we persevered and persuaded one of them to take us, as it’s not that far at all really and definitely worth a trip!
The hotel looked lovely although we only took a quick peek inside and the cafe/restaurant is set in its beautifully kept grounds. It is cool and shaded and a great respite from the heat of Mysore! It was obviously too hot to eat at the tables on the lawn but that I’m sure they would be lovely in the evening.
The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed but the service was great and the food was just fabulous! I had the best vegetable curry of my whole trip and the South Indian coffee we had afterwards was the best too! The prices were very reasonable and I believe they are a non-profit making organisation as their profits are given to charity and they also employ local people, so more good reasons to go if the gorgeous food and beautiful setting are not reason enough!
