“Amazing display of Hoysala architecture”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

This temple is known as Keshva Temple. I visited this place for photography purpose and found it amazing. Its in small town but the Temple itself is amazing. There is not even a single dust particle on the walls. Currently it is under renovation to preserve it. Would suggest everyone to visit this heritage temple if you are visiting Mysore.

“Beautiful example of Hoysala architecture”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

This 800 year old temple is really one very nice example of Hoysala architecture. The temple is well maintained. More renovation is going on to bring this place on tourism map. Situated in a small village, the temple offers you a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. One can spend hours in admiring the architecture brilliance of this temple. The carvings on the walls are so smooth even today. I was happy to see that many schools chose this place for the educational tour. Since pooja’s are not being offered at this temple, its open from Sunrise to sunset.

This is a must visit temple in Mysore. It is somewhat far from the city so may need to have GPS navigation but easy to locate. The temple is known for its architecture. One should hire a guide so that they can give you each & every detail of architecture of the place. Guide here will charge you a nominal fee (150--200 rs). I personally feel that it is an admirable architecture of Indian olden era.

It's really worth. What a beautiful architecture! Before visiting, we thought that that it is a normal temple with regular poojas. But it is an archaeological structure with lot of work. Some renovation is going on at the site. Of course the temple has 3 idols of Krishna in 3 different forms.

You have to go around the structure & enjoy all the work. Guides are also available at site for Rs.250/-. You can take the service for more information.

Don't miss it 7 enjoy this awesome architecture beauty of Indian culture.

Reviewed December 25, 2012

The temple is in renovation.. better to watch it now than later as after that it will be heavily crowded and may not be able to take snaps etc...
right now one can take snaps at will as there are no poojas etc..

Lot of minute details ...in the temple..... lot of stories too..
A Must watch ....
