We planned for a trip to Mysore and selected Hotel Roopa because of decently priced and images were impressive. I got hotel confirmation done 2 months prior to the journey and paid 50% advance payment. We drove and reach hotel Roopa at night with kids around 8.30pm. At reception people informed that the rooms are not available, as some people were suppose to depart today have extended their stay and will get the rooms only tomorrow. It was a peak season and getting rooms at other hotels were also just impossible. They asked us to adjust in some service apartment for one night. Very unprofessional and lethargic attitude. Hotel Roopa was a lodge earlier and very recently converted to hotel. So you have to compromise with such surprises and casual behavior. Rooms are very dirty and gives very bad smell even after spraying whole bottle of room fresh-nor. All the rooms including the suite smells like hell. Avoid this hotel, if you can.
