It was a flying visit, some part of the city has been damaged and it is very sad to see. Still attracts a lot of tourists. Had been to the temple and you can have a close view of the lord if you are performing archana. A lot of vaishanvism is preserved in and around the temple.

This Srirangapatana is situated on Mysore and Mandya state highway it is surrounded by the river Cauvery. Here river Cauvery is divided into two way and again submerged near Sangama . which look of an island surrounded by the river Cauvery. This was the kingdom of Mysore Kings and Tipu Sultan. Whole Srirangapatna is so rich in history...amazing. Eastern side of the river Cauvery bed you can see Sriranganatha Temple, place where Tipu was found dead, a big mosque, Tipu's palace ruins, and a dungeon where Tippu Sultan use to keep his prisoners.
On western side of the river Cauvery bed Tipu's summer palace, Sangam, Nimishamba temple and Gumbaz.

Inside the summer palace you get see a wonderfully decorated wooden palace, beautiful historical paintings and Persian architectural construction. In front of the palace garden well maintained. Its a worth seeing place.

It is supposed to be one of India's most famous temples and it is a wonderful temple and built by Mysore Odiyars kings family, in my opinion temple more impressive from the outside than inside. This temple is one of the three Sri Ranganath temples in the South,{1.moola Ranga 2. madya Ranga & 3. adhi Ranga). Lord Sriranganatha swamy sleeping statue is truly beautiful view ...

You can also visit Balmuri falls and Ranganathittu bird santuary which are close by to Srirangapatana.
