“Beautiful resort, but pathetic service and poor value for money!”
Reviewed August 16, 2010

The Eastbourne resort is quite a charming and comfortable resort with cozy rooms, a beautiful garden and pine trees all around. However, there are so many things about the place that put you off that it takes away from all the good things!! Firstly, the service is pathetic; hill stations may be more sleepy and relaxed in general, but the least one can expect is for the hotel staff to take some interest in you. Rooms are poorly stocked and you have to pretty much ask for everything from basic amenities to fixing the tv in the room. The restaurant is terribly over-priced and the food is quite average, and in the evenings, you pretty much have no other dining options. Another surprise is that pool use is charged, which is something you dont see very often! Overall, a real waste of a beautiful property that could have provided an amazing experience to their guests :(

The least you expect, when you are spending INR 4,500 for a night and be at the hotel for only 5-6 hours, is peace and average service. The service and the attitude of the staff was slack, disinterested and rude. Personally, I would never even pay INR 1000 for such a stay. My advise - rather stay in a budget hotel because you would atleast be peaceful. Not recommended for Travellers!

The property is excellent, well maintained. Room was tastefully decorated and quite spacious by Shimla standards. Food Quality was decent, but the prices were exorbitant. Service was very good. Overall we had a peaceful stay.

Arrived past midnight, but was amazed to find they could still serve a decent dinner at that time. the rooms were adequate and comfy. for the price I paid, Ive stayed at far worse places. Dont appreciate a charge fro using the pool for guests which is inappropriate. All in all, not too bad.

This is an average hotel with the name stating Resort but nothing could be found like resort in this. No doubt the hotel was good but trust me every service takes minimum an hr to be served. May be the hotel staff was tired as the hotel was full and no doubt they were struggling to serve all of us. But still to stay they were trying to meet there needs with smiles missing on there faces.
Overall a good hotel but services were missing.
